I think it’s pretty clear that as long as we ditch the stupid diamond formation, this guy and Lo Celso are going to create a lot of space through picking the right balls

You could see how much better he got after he scored. When he's at full fitness he will be incredible

Yep, he had an extra zip in his step and intention, it really lifted him. I think the crowd were so uplifted after that and you could hear the noise too after that goal, prior to that crowd was very very very quiet

I love NDombele. I love the way he makes quick decisions and his passes are incisive and ,sure. I think he will need to get fitter for the competition and pace of the PL but I think the guy has great talent. The way he can turn directions quickly (ok once he fell) and seeing him be so sure of what he wants to do with the ball before or when he gets it is a delight. A little more fitness and he will own the middle.
The goal was great too.No hesitation. Just went for it. A bit Lampardish too

Not many sideways as well. Always looking to pass the ball forward

I think he’s gonna be a big player for us. You can see that he’s one step ahead. I think it’ll take a few games for the rest of the players to get used to his speed of passing etc. And for him to settle in with everyone etc.

Wasn't his best game but he still had plenty of excellent moments. I love the fact that he's positive, takes risks and tries to make things happen. All of our other CMs in recent years have been quite risk averse whereas throughout the game he was trying forward passes and making runs.

In France he was renowned for putting in big performances in big games so I'm excited to see how he does next week.

Really exciting glimpse of his ability, yesterday.

He's almost a bit of an enigma, in that he looks almost clumsy but his feet are so, so fast. I love the speed he tried to make things happen. He didn't dawdle on the ball, he wanted to quickly move it on again. Some misplaced passes here and there but his decision making and instinctive play can only improve. Never seen anyone dribble quite like him. Can definitely get the feel of his street football days from watching him.

What a signing. Well done Spurs.

I am going all out but he looks like football genius. The more I watch his performance you can just tell what he will become

Completely agree. He seems to stroll and then ignites. Unpredictable but a really good football brain. A nightmare for the opposition because you can’t mark that.

And......he looks more miserable than Vardy when he scores...no small achievement.

Tanguy masterclass away at city. I can feel it

One of his best games of his career, maybe his best ever actually, was at Man City in the champions league so he's got previous.

He's incredibly positive with his passing so even when the passes don't come off it's lovely to see how progressive he wants to be. His goal was also a fine strike with superb control to hit with such power off his instep. Underrated finish IMO.

The thing I liked the most was his total lack of celebration and almost look of annoyance as if to say, "doesn't matter, let's get on with this and go win the game". Debut goal, helluva strike and no celebration. That's a man not caught up with himself and sign of a real team player.
