What ouput? you have to move to have output! he's just a fatter adel taarabt get him the f out as soon as possible. how many times has it been proven that talent is worth less than nothing in football without workrate.
Errr...just look at his goals/assists per 90?

We must give him one more season to prove himself. He’s by far the most creative player in the squad.

All other things being equal I'd agree, but he has to be up for giving it a proper go.

It's all up to him:
- If he wants to work hard, he'll be a massive asset
- If he doesn't, we should cash in before he depreciates further. We can't afford that expensive a passenger in the squad

That's a lot of work for a bunch of stats that don't really mean anything.

I'm sure there's a good point in there somewhere, but it's not really leaping off the page. Am I missing something?

Well, if you look closely, the title makes ‘the point‘ rather obvious... ‘contributions‘. This includes being available to the manager, how reliable a player can be, if a manager trusts the player to perform for 90 minutes/fitness, if the manager trusts the player at all, if they have a positive/negative effect on the whole squad when they are involved/not involved in a game.. If you look even closer, you may see that these ‘contributions’ are rather thin on the ground.

Further still, look at the games individually or in small clusters and you can see where Jose gave him the opportunities to prove himself - before he got injured again! If you need any more help please just ask :)

Mourinho also mentioned in a press conference that the reason he met up with Ndombele was to help him access the Zoom training sessions (?) Ndombele’s a young man with young friends, and he’s a professional that needs to train. Are you telling me Jose was the only person who could provide him with suitable tech support!? Be interested to know if Tanguy thought he’d just be getting a bit of relaxation time during lockdown.

Because he is absurdly talented

I keep seeing people saying this, but can’t for the life of me remember a single stand out performance from him in a Spurs shirt. Genuine question, why do you think he’s so great?

Talent is nothing if you don’t put the effort in, and we have seen time and again that he simply can’t or won’t put a shift in.

I’m more than happy to give him time to prove me wrong, but I also won’t be mad if the club decide to cash in their chips on this guy.

Ndombele can dribble and that's why people say he is talented

If the manager is not going to play him then he should be sold and the money reinvested in players that he will play. Simple as that. Ndombele when he feels like it is a top, top class player but the inconsistent effort just isnt enough and he isnt a top player from the bench...

He's also easily the best passer (maybe Kane aside) at the club, nobody else comes close to having the vision and execution of his pass to set Son up against City.

People who can't see his talent are either being deliberately blind to it, or iffy judges of footballer.

Everyone can see his talent but unless every single through ball results in a goal or every dribble is successful a midfielder has to either chase back or if he's given license to stay forward then press! when he doesn't have the ball he is completely uninterested. If it was just down to talent Adel Taarabt would have been our greatest ever player Led Revolvers post shows we didn't win a single game he has started second half of the season and in fact most of them were our worst performances.

Why are people defending someone who gets paid a fortune to wear a shirt most of us would pay to wear and cant even give a fuck to try?

Because we're Spurs "supporters", not "players". Supporting a player, especially one who the club has invested heavily in, when things aren't exactly going their way shouldn't be an alien concept. My company pays me to do whatever it is I'm supposed to do, doesn't change the fact I sit on here all day trying to goad @BringBack_leGin .

I was responding directly to people diminishing his actual talent, fwiw. His application hasn't been good enough, which is redundant to say and has been covered ad nauseam, but his talent is absolutely undeniable.

I think Sissoko is awful but I will support him as he gives100% in every game. I'm not willing to waste my time having a man crush on a player who's attitude is so bad he cant even be bothered to try and impress in his first year in the premier league just because he can do a pretty step over. There is no coincidence the very top players in the world regardless of their talent work their ass off week in week out. Talent without application is worthless and if he cant be bothered to impress in his first year why on earth would he change that second season.
