The biggest shame is watching him even in short bursts just goes to show how much he would transform this team.
Doesn’t look like it’s happening this season, but what I would give for a season of full fitness and motivation for him and Gio next season.

To be fair, and you can quote me on this afterwards, if he plays tonight and runs his cock off for 75 mins, puts in a shift, I really don’t care if he has a shit game.

We need everyone to step up NOW. This includes Ndombele. He should look around the squad and see players nearly killing themselves for the cause - And then ask himself the big question of why he can't seem to keep himself fit for more than 60 minutes once a month. There's 100% no doubt the ability is there but his work ethic and desire to put a run of form together has to be put into question at this point.

Nah, getting over 70 minutes under his belt is more important for fitness and his long term impact instead of 30 minutes of class now and again.

I'd agree but Id rather see 30 minutes of class than him sit on the bench till he hits 60 minutes of fitness

30 minutes of class didn't help us against Munich.

We didn't pay 50m for the occasional cameo.

The excuses have worn thin. He has basically had a 6 month preseason break to get up to speed, and you're happy to see him give us 30mins and a cheeky rabona occasionally.

We kept Winks as a lone DM vrs Munich!!!
What's thin the rabona point. Maybe you didn't watch his last game or his first game or games along the way.
You want to want to complain about minutes but refer to one second he did a rabona!

Ah of course..it's always winks fault. I forgot for a moment. The guy who plays consistently for us was the problem not the guy alongside him who ran out of steam after 13 minutes in his one game that month.

And yes i watched his last game as well. Should I have been impressed by anything he did in particular during those brief minutes?

players have good games and bad games and with Ndombele’s talent, there will be more good than bad but he has to be fit enough to last the90 minutes until then he should be used as an impact sub imo

I don’t think that’s a wise move for him personally. Doubt he’d receive much understanding if he said “ I’m not injured, but I just don’t feel fit enough mentally or physically to play 90 mins at the moment.

He’s best off keeping schtum, and hopefully sorting himself out behind closed doors asap.
Agree, he'd get even more grief if he said something. He's not one for the limelight, quite quiet and reserved like Hugo, so can't seem him talking.

Ndombele is amazingly talented, might be our best player technically. God has given him amazing football gifts, but then thought fuck it I'll give him the fitness of a darts player.
He is the unfittest player I've ever seen. The condition he's in right now is barely acceptable for the first week of preseaon.
If he is just naturally supremly unfit, that can be rectified, but it's a hard road and he really needs to be mentally strong to go from what he is to what he could be, which is one of the worlds great players.
Let's hope he puts in the graft.

He just CAN'T have this unfit for Lyon.

The Ndombele situation is just so infuriating, no doubt an amazing talent,
but his "fitness" situation is just soooo sad… Really hope he can turn it around,
sooner rather than later…

He'll never get match fit if he never plays

Match fitness is different to basic fitness. He needs to get a level of base fitness before he can start a game,

You dont get fit on match day, you get fit on the training ground and the gym.

A part of me wants to think he is being treated harshly by Mourinho but I don’t think Jose would (baring in mind he’s just come into a job replacing a very popular manager) unnecessarily cause a massive issue with our record signing for no good reason.

i‘d like to think the same but as much as you try to ignore the signs when he has played he has looked nowhere near fit enough and for Jose its a liability to start him if hes gonna be out of puff before half time.
