On the 7 or 8 times I have seen him play over the last two seasons he has always been a standout player. He brings a physical presence that can dominate the middle of the pitch, but also is technically good with both feet. He is aerially very strong offensively and defensively from set pieces and has a great engine and can eat up ground when countering or defending a counter.
I have only seen him versus us or one of the other top sides in Sky games, so maybe he raises his game?
I think the Son, Kane, Alli triumvirate could be very effective playing a more direct game where we play the ball forward as soon as we win it back.Just read the 10 things to look out for piece the Guardian, don't think Daniel Harris has watch Ndombele much. He seemed to argue that without Eriksen we'd struggle to get the ball forward quickly and be constrained to sideways passes. Ndombele's greatest asset is the fact he can see a pass quickly and execute it. I can see him looking to find Son very early in this game to bypass the Liverpool press.
He played mostly with Lucas Tousart, a more defensive midfielder (as you correctly assumed). I think he's just a bog standard DM, one you'll see at a Bournemouth or Southampton, but maybe I'm missing something. We can aim higher than him.
He needs a song. Maybe the old Sheringham/Huddlestone song.
Oh Tanguy Tanguy,
Tanguy Tanguy Tanguy N dom be le
First thing that came to my mind (but may have been said before) is The Lion Sleeps tonight. He needs a song. Maybe the old Sheringham/Huddlestone song.
Oh Tanguy Tanguy,
Tanguy Tanguy Tanguy N dom be le
Probably shouldn't sing a jungle song to a black player these days thoughFirst thing that came to my mind (but may have been said before) is The Lion Sleeps tonight.
N-dom-bu-lay N-dom-bu-lay N-dom-bu-lay N-dom-bu-lay N-dom-bu-lay N-dom-bu-lay N-dom-bu-lay N-dom-bu-lay at the lane, the mighty lane, the Tanguy roars tonight...
He is the Dembele replacement we been waiting for
We just need a DM Wanyama or Dier of years passed and we will be all good
