I am impressed with Tango Ndombele. I was a non believer and thought he ran a bit funny and was a bit clumsy plus the weight issue. But this is massively impressive. I am a fan.

On the 7 or 8 times I have seen him play over the last two seasons he has always been a standout player. He brings a physical presence that can dominate the middle of the pitch, but also is technically good with both feet. He is aerially very strong offensively and defensively from set pieces and has a great engine and can eat up ground when countering or defending a counter.

I have only seen him versus us or one of the other top sides in Sky games, so maybe he raises his game?

Good reply. Thanks.

He also loves a big game, he does seem to come alive for them. Let’s hope he’s up for Liverpool.

He is the Dembele replacement we been waiting for

We just need a DM Wanyama or Dier of years passed and we will be all good

Just read the 10 things to look out for piece the Guardian, don't think Daniel Harris has watch Ndombele much. He seemed to argue that without Eriksen we'd struggle to get the ball forward quickly and be constrained to sideways passes. Ndombele's greatest asset is the fact he can see a pass quickly and execute it. I can see him looking to find Son very early in this game to bypass the Liverpool press.

I think the Son, Kane, Alli triumvirate could be very effective playing a more direct game where we play the ball forward as soon as we win it back.

The boy sure can spot a pass and play it with inch perfect precision and can dribble. Just hope he can get his stamina level up to the rest of the team and we will have a gem.

He played mostly with Lucas Tousart, a more defensive midfielder (as you correctly assumed). I think he's just a bog standard DM, one you'll see at a Bournemouth or Southampton, but maybe I'm missing something. We can aim higher than him.

If they already have a rapport though and he's not going to cost the earth then maybe it’s worth it.

First thing that came to my mind (but may have been said before) is The Lion Sleeps tonight.

N-dom-bu-lay N-dom-bu-lay N-dom-bu-lay N-dom-bu-lay N-dom-bu-lay N-dom-bu-lay N-dom-bu-lay N-dom-bu-lay at the lane, the mighty lane, the Tanguy roars tonight...

Probably shouldn't sing a jungle song to a black player these days though :cautious:

The shame with our CM players is that we only manage to get peak out of them for 2 or two seasons then they end up crocked or off form.

Are we the only club this happens to?
