Passing a football like I do wind after curry night. Consistently and catching everyone by surprise.

His passing s sublime. He still looks a bit short of fitness, which is a worry, given we’re starting to get deep into the season now.

Evra on MNF said players coming from the french league need months to get to terms with the fitness of the PL, he added that he took 12months to get upto speed.

He is going to be absolute class , we need to give him time, encourage and support him until he reaches those levels.

Yeah, of course he needs time, but he does look like he’s carrying a bit more weight than he needs, and apparently his weight was an issue as a youngster in France too.

I was thinking NDombele is probably the kind of player Winks would aspire to be, based on last nights performance. Then it occurred to me Winks is actually older. That’s a bit mad.

Every pass he makes seems to be disguised, perfectly weighted and accurate. This guy is going to be some player, cant wait to see him and Lo Celso in full flow.

I was really impressed with his forward passing on the break last night. Unfortunately, those collecting the ball from him slowed forward momentum a little while making their decisions, but Tanguy is showing us what we've been missing.

Looked the player that so many had creamed themselves over in the summer.

Didn't look half as leggy as he had done previously aswell.

Hope this continues, he could be quite the player.

He helps transition the play from defense to attack that much quicker. He’s always looking forward. Even with Dier on, we were still transitioning quickly. The midfield didnt dither on the ball all game. Always kept it moving and looking forward. Made a nice change of pace from what we’ve been doing since January.

One of his biggest assets is his ability to turn in an instant and get away from potential tacklers. He then doesn't stop to admire his work, but looks for a quick forward ball. There were doubts as to whether he could do those things in the EPL, but so far it doesn't seem to be a problem. I think he'll also go up a notch once Lo Celso gets going/

Better vision and passing than Eriksen. He seems to make them much more consistently per game.
I do wonder if he might be even more dangerous further forward. But he was signed to play central midfield and make those vertical passes we’ve seen so far. He’ll lose the ball making those passes but so far I’ve been impressed with how much he hasn’t.

Who did he play central midfield with at Lyon, I’m assuming they were more defensively minded, maybe we should be going for him ASAP?

Everyone making extra effort egged him on, even with tired legs. This shows what team effort can get a bit extra out of individuals.

He will be an absolute beast - probably won't see him at his full potential till next season though.

No. We need him in midfield. He instantly became our best CM when he signed this summer.

We need a proper DM behind him in big games so that he can really flourish. At this point I doubt Dier will get back to his best, and Sissoko isn't a DM even though his workrate up the pitch is superb. Just need to find someone to sit in that hole 25 yards out. Easier said than done

It's his ability to just up the tempo in an instant that is so refreshing. We can be plodding along, passing in neat triangles and then all of a sudden he'll drop a shoulder or make a first time pass and our play goes from 0-60. All of a sudden we've got defenders backpedalling and our midfield runners threatening.
