Sad waste of talent, but it's great to finally move on from this shit show. At least he's not gonna be hanging around like a bad smell all summer waiting on a loan somewhere.

This summer we've already released Perisic, Ndombele, Dier, Sessegnon and Tanganga. As we don't know what the payoff is for Ndombele, we've freed up around £300k a week in salary.

Let's just hope our recent decent signings continue in the same vein.

I called it early doors with him and got a load of disagrees for it. Glad he’s finally gone, what a waste of time and money. We’ll do well to make as big a mistake again with a player.

Yep. There were massive concerns from day 1 with his fitness, and by six months it was fairly clear he was an absolute wasteman. A few of us called it and got pelters from those who had their head in the sand and made excuse after excuse.

This disaster was fully on Poch unfortunately. Remember that utter hubris about how he and his team would have made Dembele the worlds best midfielder if they'd got him earlier? I think he pompously saw Ndombele as a chance to prove this and so ignore all the red flags. Even if he'd stayed as manager I don't think things would have been different in terms of this feckless stroller.

100 million all in, pissed right up the wall. Dear oh dear.

I think it's a really positive sign for us supporting Ange's vision (and alignment with his vision at leadership levels) that we've bought out this contract and let Tanganga and Sess go despite having options for an additional year with them. It's a financial hit for the club, and I wouldn't have been surprised with a scenario where we try to get a few million out of each of them somehow. But cutting them all lose (and Dier and Perisic, too), shows at least some good signs that we're focusing on who the manager wants to be here at the start of the season, not just holding out hope we can make a little extra money.

Oh no! What will we do without the pictures of him training with us during the off season??

Wonder what input Scott Munn had in finally ending this saga, Scott is supposed to be in charge of all the football side these days but he never seems to get a mention.

The worst good player I've ever known at Spurs. Unlike other big money flop signings like Bent or Sissoko who clearly didn't have the talent to match their transfer fees, abilitywise he was the best midfielder we've had since Modric, if not since Gascoigne. He was just the complete package - strong and difficult to get the ball off, brilliant passing vision, great at dribbling, carrying the ball forward and shielding when under pressure - but instead of using that talent to good use he strolled around the pitch like he was playing barefoot on the beach with a spliff in his hand or something.

A real lesson to be learned in "youtube scouting" - his highlights reel from his time here will look amazing. But when spending this kind of money on a footballer you really need to get a feel for the kind of character they are. All the ability in the world is no good if you can't be relied on to move above a walking pace.

The guy had all the talent. I was just rewatching some of his best moments and bloody hell he was good. The attitude and laziness was also on another level and he killed his own career 😔

I'd love to know what goes through these players' heads, same with Pogba. All the talent, seemingly zero desire to play football. At what point do they stop caring, trying and loving football because clearly at one point they loved it and dedicated themselves to it.

Looks like we mean business on the squad reduction front which is positive. Let’s hope the signings follow

Is it fully on Poch when he managed him for [11] games - is that right? I appreciate it is a big ‘maybe’ but maybe Poch could have motivated him and got him playing to his full potential - as he did with numerous other players in his squad - Dele springs to mind as a relevant example - I don’t disagree Ndombele turned out to be a terrible signing - as did Lo Celso - but there’s a parallel universe where Poch wasn’t fired and things didn’t pan out like that - so a bit harsh to put it fully on him

Just look at the state of this, Ndombele being the hero if the window.

Before I said the guys behind these summer transfers should be fired, but I think a prison sentence is more just.
