He'll be 28 in December, needs a good season somewhere to get another contract, maybe that will motivate him if nothing else. Not too many teams out there that need a midfielder who gets tired after 10 minutes of walking, but maybe he tries to get into shape this Summer. Probably not, but maybe someone takes that risk and loans him for 10% of his wages.

The Saudi league seems like the only semi-realistic option that might take him on loan and pay his full wages. Turkey is the lowest level in Europe willing to pay big wages to washed up players, and he obviously didn’t do enough to stick in that league.
If the Saudis aren’t interested (or he turns them down), I’d guess that we’ll either buy out the remainder of his contract or be stuck paying the vast majority of his wages on loan to some French club willing to take a punt that his contract situation will motivate him to perform.

Nope his Gala loan contract is up in June 30, 2024
His spurs contract runs until June 30, 2025 sadly

Everywhere I have read it says his contract length is 5 years (as in your post) so assumes it finishes in 2024. Maybe there is an option for another year but I wonder who can exercise that option - not Tanguy hopefully!
If there is another year am certain we will pay that out and get him out of the squad once and for all.

Fair point.
I only meant it in the view of a club record signing not necessarily hitting the heights they came in on.
But yes, Ndombele very much takes the title of lowest return on investment.

Best we can hope for is a club giving us a loan fee that'll at least cover a third of his wages until his contract is up.
The good news is that a lot of our deadwood (PEH, GLC, Reggie, Davies, Rodon, Japhet) are contracted until 2025. Levy will be determined to get rid of those guys imo. Hopefully there's 40m worth there.

He's basically retired now. 6 year deal on 220K a week = £68.6M we'll have paid him by the time his contract expires.

It wouldn't surprise me if he jacked it in next summer tbh. I don't think he's motivated by money much either so I can't see him impressing a club enough to give him the sort of contract he'd want.
