Reminds me of Damien Duff or Wiltord. Not a bums off the seat player but you trust him to do the right thing and despite scoring is an unselfish winger

Great player. For a young player coming into a new league from the Dutch league he has taken to it incredibly well. Good work rate, good eye for a pass & obviously knows how to score.

Bergwijn needs to start every game now front 3 should be son Kane bergwijn get them playing week in week out! He is head and shoulders above Lucas

I can only think he started Lucas over him to give Lucas some match time for the fixtures ahead. Plus Bergwijn coming off the bench in the second half would cause their tired legs problems.

His touch, movement and weight of pass is really good, it's the little things you appreciate he brings to the team that go unnoticed that really make him stand out.

I love him, such an intelligent and skilled player. Regarding Mourinho's comments about him not being his 'first choice', target i wonder who was?

I’d really like to see Bergwijn play on the left and son inside right. Know West Ham’s legs were gone but soon as he got the ball on the left last night he drives forwards and created space for Kane and Lamela. son doesn’t seem to pick the ball up and go straight at players

It will be played in the media as that, but concensus is that he meant that his first choice would be a number 9, not a wide forward. This chimes with the ITK that came out that if we couldn't get our preferred permanent option for that role we should leave it until the summer.

I think he is the long term heir to Son's position. What is good about him though is that he is good enough to both be the wide forward that holds the width as well as the wide forward that tucks in and acts as more of a play maker.

Would have to agree with posters pointing out his intelligence. He really does seem to understand the game better than most. Still a long way to go, but the sky is the limit for this kid.

Son - Kane - Bergwijn could potentially be very very very good for next season. Even for how boring we often are to watch these days it still feels like we are close to getting set offensively. Lo Celso feeding those three and we really shouldn't struggle to create chances.

If I was Bergwijn I would be seriously annoyed that Moura seems to be in front of him .
Most managers have a weakness for at least one player that is not as good as the manager seems to think Moura is Jose 's blind spot .
For me he scored the famous Ajax hat trick and scored two goals at Old Trafford and well there is no more notable games out of 100games. He is living off the back of two great games the rest of the times he is dross his effort is first class and could never be questioned regards commitment . His passing is abysmal his vision is lacking obviously only one persons opinion but he is not for me the standard of player we require .

What makes you think Moura is Infront of him? I understood why he was on the bench against West Ham as he is still adjusting to Premiership football. He also does a lot of tracking back compared to say Son, so probably was right to rest him especially as we don't know how his injury has healed.

I think he will start more games then Moura for the rest of this season and cement his place next season.

That's because others were injrued or earlier the other choices over him were leaving Eriksen and Lo Celso before convincing Mourinho.

Add a DM and Ndombele in midfield and that is a cracking front 6 in a 433.

To be fair to the manager, Moura appears to be a player that follows instructions, keeps team shape and has phenomenal work rate.

3 things I'd imagine is at the forefront of JM's requirements.

We would need at least 2xDMs if you want to include N'Dombele :D

I would agree if you are talking about N'Dombele that actually cares. And I'm not all that old school when it comes to effort, but I do expect players to at least try.

I would argue Lo Celso got treated "worse" than N'Dombele early on this season, but quite astonishing to see the difference in their approach to things. Doesn't mean I don't think N'Dombele can get there, but most likely he won't. A new DM and Winks is my guess. Still OK to me even if it isn't as mouth watering as the idea of a N'Dombele that plays the way he should.

I'm going to be patient with Ndombele. He did have a groin injury which can go on for ages so hopefully he's over that now and get on with it. Dier is a good comparison. He was pretty dreadful at the start of the season after illness and injury but now looks like a new man with plenty of energy and drive. Hope Ndombele makes it because he's phenominally talented
