Nah don't buy that excuse that its all pochs fault.
Injuries happen to all clubs, Chelsea currently have more players out than us
It's far from all his fault. But this isn't just a single injury crisis. We've had multiple players permanently decline due to fitness issues - Rose, Wanyama, Lamela, Trippier, Dier, Kane. I don't think it's likely that all of those are 100% coincidence.

For me that’s our starting front 3 all out (Kane, Son and Bergwijn) like to see Liverpool’s chances of progressing in the UCL with Salah, Mane and Firmino all missing!

like when they beat Barcelona 4 nil last season in the semi final you mean?

I'm not even mad. Just astonished how incredibly unlucky we are. Yeah you can blame the lack of options and the players being ran in to the ground but the amount of first team players and the severeness of their injuries and at the most critical part of the season. It's just very unfortunate.

Anyway, I really hope Steven has a swift recovery for his own sake. Give him a season and he'll be a very good player.

Gutting news yet again. I felt like Bergwijn was struggling a bit when games come every few days. This was just unfortunate really but I'm sure he'll get used to the pace of the league next season. I hope we use Sess as a wide forward but I'm expecting wingbacks. In fact I'd be ok with wingbacks if Aurier and Sess are used as wingbacks becasue they're both suited as wingbacks yet they rarely play there.

For fuck's sake, did we build the new stadium on top of an ancient burial ground, after pissing on the remains? I can't remember any other season where we had this many long-term injuries. Almost everyone in the squad has gone down at some point, it's ludicrous.
Yeah but it's a season coming off a world cup summer and there's no winter break, oh wait (n)

To the contrary. Tottenham has had a long period with many fitness issues that go well beyond what's normal or what's bad luck. This isn't normal, and it isn't coincidence.

Such as ?

Hugos injury result of akward fall
Son in game arm injury
Bergjwin tackle to the ankle
Dier - tonsillitis
Kane's previous injuries , tackles on the ankle
Rose - knee ligament damage during a game
Lamela hip and hamstring problems from day 1 under avb
Ben Davies injured ankle playing West ham- tackle

How is any of that down to pochettino? Can only think of sissoko due to being over played

Because we're the most negligent team in the league, the only team without a plan and if we get injuries it's completely our fault whilst other teams get injuries they are merely unlucky.

Honestly the woe is me attitude on here is such a load of nonsense but not surprising, we're off form and having a bad time so the sky is caving in, everything is doom and gloom, peop l need to paint a negative narrative about the club because it makes them feel better, I don't know. :D

its like all the luck the club had was used up in one glorious night in Amsterdam in May 2019 and now we are in luck overdraft and right up against the limit.

any day now La Celso will be get injured for the rest of the season, because that's how things are going right now

It may be too early to judge but are people generally happy with this signing?

It hasn't appeared so far that he can do what Son can do, for example - which, I thought was the whole point of buying him.

His pace doesn't seem all that either... Is it just me? I'm waiting to see what he can offer.

Please feel free to disagree, but please explain what I'm not seeing.

Son couldn't do what Son does now in his first season. In other words, he needed a season to get accustomed to a new league and a new team. Which is exactly what Bergwijn needs. Anyway, I like what I've seen from Bergwijn so far. Seems really intelligent with the ball and he generally does the right things with and without the ball. He's also a much better passer / team player than a lot of our other attackers at the moment. He'll probably never be a prolific goal scorer as Son but he'll probably (...as he has for PSV) bring assists and aid with the playmaking.

I see a technically very capable player with vision, decent pace and good tenacity. He also seems to have an accurate shot, and he shows for the ball. If this is him at 22 then I think we have much to look forward to. Initial comparisons I’ve made watching him are Ljungberg or Luis Enrique.

I think Steve is a very intelligent player, more so than Son, in my opinion, he showed glimpses of that in the first couple of games but since has not really had the opportunity to play in a settled side or in his preferred position for a few games pre-injury.

I do agree, unfortunately. 2 goals good but shown little else. Must have time to settle in etc but you need extreme power or pace in the PL and preferably both- only genuinely exceptional players like David Silva thrive with neither.

Let's hope he becomes brilliant though.

He's better than Lucas and I think that was the whole point of buying him
