Calm yourselves.
It was his first game and we shouldn't be writing him off if he'd had a stinker.
Likewise we shouldn't be raising the expectation levels sky high just because he scored a very special goal.
The first games for a club are just not normal. I gave my working out.
He is certainly interesting and we shall see.

Look on the bright side of life White Socks.
A win vrs City,New kids look good,Why throw a spanner in.....wait at least to the next game

So refreshing to see a player who clearly just so thrilled to be a Spurs player, from his reaction to the goal to his dad crying about the move over facetime.

Been a pretty shit season so it's such a boost to see someone like him to feel so privileged to be at Spurs.

Where did you notice his dad crying? I didn't see that.

Was just about to post this, his composure on the ball is really impressive. That cross into Dele was almost perfect but Walker made a fantastic play. Which just watching this was a reminder of how damn good Walker is.

There was a report that his dad was crying whilst Jose facetimed Bergwign. Same report that said he sacrificed a bonus payment to join us in Jan.

It’s lovely to see Bergwijn hit the ground running like he did on Sunday. The goal will help his confidence no end (let’s not forget that he’s only 22, adapting to a new country, culture etc - it’s bound to be nervy to an extent), and that piece of quality straight after the red card gave the players and fans a huge lift on Sunday. Atmosphere was rocking.

You could tell from the celebrations during (and after) the game that he’s clearly a really likeable guy, and his reposts to his story / Instagram show a player who’s delighted to be here. All of this coupled together creates a strong squad dynamic, of players who will fight for the badge on the front of the shirt and run for each other and the fans.

Stevie, like the rest of the players out there on Sunday, left it all on the pitch and done his family and the supporters proud. I’m excited to see more of him in a Spurs shirt.

It's really not easy to come into the Premier League midseason, let alone to start off against Man City, who play with such high intensity and tempo.

He had to work very hard off the ball and we spent most of the time without it, so it must have been tough for him hardly seeing possession.

Considering this, I thought he worked hard, made some good movements and showed some glimpses of quality on the ball.

Most importantly, when we needed a big moment, he delivered a top-quality goal, with real composure.

Positive early signs.

It was a great moment but Winks against West Ham topped it.
Fucking hell! Why is there a need for a comparison? It was not a bloody competition for best goal was it? Embrace the player and enjoy the moment as all other games are irrelevant in context.

When I watched him on You Tube originally I thought he was ok but nothing special, but in the one game he played he was really confident and strong and used his talents well.Looks a good one

It is refreshing, especially when compared to the likes of Lacazette down the road who can't even bring himself to crack a smile when he scores. Hate that.

I read that he turned down €6m to stay at PSV. That's some desire to come to us!
