This is what he always does. He has a purple patch where he scores by the bucket load and then has a longer, slightly irritating dry spell. Next purple patch will come soon, probably the last few games of the season when it doesn't matter.

Wondering if Son has his eye on a move elsewhere?
He doesn't quite seem himself lately.
I don't think he'll be massively enjoying Jose's football but no doubt the form he's been in the past few seasons he'll have been contacted by the Real Madrids and Bayerns etc and may now be starting to get his head turned, this is all an assumption, he might just be a bit off form but one to keep an eye on.
Hope he can find is form again as he's near world class when he is on fire.

nah he just loves the fans and is struggling to perform at his best without us :hungry:

Although fwiw I thought he was dangerous in the second half and was certainly our biggest threat.

Just think, Son gave up peeling potatoes on national service, to play in this awful game.

Said it in the match thread yesterday but I really wish he had more tricks up his sleeve than the step over. If he could turn on a sixpence more often a la Ndombele he’s be much more of a threat. He is way too direct imo.

Once a player has 2 years left, we should either sign them up or sell them on. Avoid any Eriksen-esque situations. Nobody excluded, nobody's bigger than the club.

That being said, I hope he'd sign rather than move on.

People keep saying this but ignore the fact that big spenders like Chelsea are already spending big and a relaxation of FFP is allowing the clubs with wealthy owners to spend.

There's a chance that the wealthy owners might prey on the smaller clubs that need to sell because they need money more than ever because of the coronavirus, but that doesn't mean that players will be at peak value. There's always going to be the odd exception though.

And Chelsea are getting Werner at below market value because of his release clause.

Came on in the second half and you wouldn’t really know he was on the pitch

Looks as bored and uninterested as the supporters having to watch these performances!

I said earlier in the thread it might be time for him to move on. He is obviously quality but I wonder if some of our players don't have it mentally to restart at this club and need to move onto pastures new.

Clearly something isn’t right. Not sure if it’s a confidence thing, a fitness thing or whether he just wants out.
He’s probably my favourite player so really hoping it isn’t the latter.

I love him as a person, but he is such a streaky player goes on incredible runs of form for 8-10 games and then nothing. I think he's been very poor since Jose came in and I wouldn't be against selling him, he is someone we could get a sizable fee for.

Whom do you buy as his replacement? Werner/pulisic are closest to him in the whole world !!
