Can't let players who value walk on a free, even if it gets 10-15 million in

You dont get this money for 33 year olds unless theyre going to saudi, if even that.

If he doesnt fancy the saudi league, we're unlikely getting anything material for Son when he leaves.

Whatever he wants to do, he's more than earned the right to do it. Personally I don't think he does anything until he speaks with Frank.

Even without the Europa he will always be a legend, but his form for last 18 months has been poor, I really think he should have been sold last year when he still had real value.
He has been Levy's cash cow for years, I've been in the shop a few times and seen Koreans buying 7 or 8 shirts at a time and then proceed to get his name on the back.

He has had his issues last season though everyone was generally poor. Managed properly he can still add value next season with the plethora of games coming up. Shame to lose him as feel he is Spurs thru and thru

Strongly disagree with sentiments like it's solely Sonny's decision to make, or that if he wants to stay he should be allowed.

No. If the club see benefit in selling him, we should sell him.

Which is what I personally favour. Turn the page now and get the max value we'll ever get for him. New chapter for everyone.

You can't just sell a player, mate.

The player has a contract and is entitled to see it out.

What is our summer schedule? Do we play any home matches?

If he were to leave, I could see a farewell match at home (after the Korea tour).

Kane got a last home match in pre-season.

Yes, it's a fair point and I thought about it before posting, but the reality is if the club want you out but you stick around, that next year is always miserable for everyone. You're half-in and half-out and your shoulders are always slumped. I think if Sonny knew we didn't want him, I doubt he'd stick around.

Personally hoping that we keep him and set him to doing what he is actually good at doing for the first time in 3 years rather than watching him be asked to do things he isn't good at, while carrying injuries, and then everyone slagging him off for not being good at it. No better mentor for whomever his understudy will be as an actual inside forward.

There is no perfect outcome for a player who is coming to the end at the very top.

i) Stay with us and have his role (likely) diminish.

ii) Leave now to drop a few levels down, effectively quit top level football.

iii) Go somewhere for sentimental reasons likely on a lot less money.

Neither of those three options are ideal for Son whos ultimately the one to decide, and option i) isnt necessarily the worst.

I dont personally think he'd take the saudi option, and beyond that the club has little incentive to encourage him to leave.

I think its time to sell. Whilst Son can still score and get assists he struggles to to do the required sprints with the intensity that the team needs. forwards or backwards.

This usually results in the their full backs, wide-men having an easy time getting past him and creating overloads of our full backs. Frank should see this pretty quickly and hopefully rectify it. Brentfords forwards are relentless which is a big part of why they scored so many goals. Their midfield is tight compact, win the ball back then Damsgaard slings the ball out for the anticipating Mbuemo and Wissa to attack with pace and power.

We play Bayern at some point, but not at home. We need Kane and Son with their respective trophies.

I'll add that with a team criticised so much for lacking in experienced players this season, it would be an especially tough sell to get rid.

He's very experienced with the demands of the Champions League and we can't be going into that imo with an entire forward line that's never touched it.

We just need to get him the ball in shooting areas and utilise his efficiency, and mercifully Frank likes to take high % shots from central areas.

If you have that attitude towards players, then don't get upset when the club treats you as a customer.

Also every comment pro selling is as if thered be massive bids coming in.

The question isnt "shall we sell" its more likely "is it worth selling for a small fee" or "shall we release".
