I think you might be a bit optimistic — with Son’s age and declining form, I’d expect us to get £20–30m at best.

agree

What is commercial value worth?

Don’t spurs have the biggest TikTok following in the league and it’s partly ( mainly) cause of son

And the amount of Koreans games didn’t they say he is bigger than K-pop

It would be a huge queue for the sound league to get him. If Sally is not going, he would be one of the most high profile players they can attract.

If it means we can get upwards of 85 - 100 Mill for him to reinvest it would be perfect for everyone, we get 2 good players and Son gets a retirement package.

Would not sell for 60 though!
I bet levy would sell for 60m would be a brilliant deal for us . Given his age and form since Kane left

His form dropped off a cliff and I find it hard to believe it's down to just age as he looks after himself.
Let the new manager come in and take a look at him, play him more as an inside forward in the friendlies, and see if he can get his form back.
If he can't then it's a difficult conversation and he'll see the sense in moving on.
If he does then we've got 20 goals and another season before we need a replacement whilst picking up someone like Tel who's got another year to develop.

conte second season didn’t his form drop? his lost a bit of pace and confidence.

Who knows if he will be better next season or not?

We definitely need to freshen up. I thought it be richy first.

If we could get money for son, Richy, bis we could add some quality we would look good 3-4 more quality players our team could be back.

I think a lot also depends how much we'd get for him. If Saudi paid silly money like £50 million then it's an easy choice and I'd be buying someone like Eze to come in.
But if it's closer to £20 million that's not a lot to replace his goal output.
I think it's an easier decision for Richy as he's contributed little (except for hard work) and we could bring in a Player like Tel to cover up front and wide for a similar layout.
The same for Biss.

You can't honestly think we'd get that much for him at this stage of his career.

He’s 33 in a few weeks. You aren’t getting 85-100m for him

If he wants to leave then he should leave with everyone's blessing. We won't effectively replace him though. We'll try and replace him with Tell and Oderbert or some other 19 yo kid.

My guesses:

From Son's perspective: have another shot at CL. Probably his last as a leader/established member of a high-calibre squad. He still has time left to make big money elsewhere so that can wait.

From our perspective: silly money might be attractive. But who's going to bring the young players, especially the attackers, through? We may replace his goals if we re-invest well but we will lose a club icon/tutor/leader and money wont buy that.

New quotes on his future:
Asked about his future, Son preached patience.

"I still have one more year left on the contract," Son said. "Rather than saying anything at this moment, I think we should all wait and see what happens. But no matter where I end up, I will always do the best I can. It will never change."
Feels like that could be it?

Wish there was a shrug reaction emoji because I have no idea what will happen lol

Can see him staying one more season and being a fit in a Frank side even if used sparingly.

Perfect timing for him to go off but does he want to take a big money move from Saudi as others have mentioned? Maybe MLS comes in like some have mentioned? Seems a tad early (like de bruyne) for that imo

Has he regressed too far to go to a foreign elite side - a la Barca, Munich, Madrid, Inter/Milan/Napoli? Depending on the fit I could see it

Literally could see any of those options happening

If Frank finds a spot for Brennan in the team I actually think Son would be a great rotation option for him. Both share a knack for scoring goals and could thrive in the right role but they're also different enough to offer the ability to mix things up as needed.

Can't let players who value walk on a free, even if it gets 10-15 million in
There are exceptions to every rule and Son would be one. He signed an extension when Harry jumped ship. He's earned the right to choose whether he stays and leaves on a free or goes this summer.

I would never say that about anyone else (I didn't even say it about Kane).

Think it’s the right time for him to mov on now and leave a bonafide legend. Would be sad to see him decline further and risk his relationship with the fans.

I personally think this summer is the ideal time for both parties to say goodbye, but if Son wants to stay he should be allowed to.
