That NLD in Conte's first season. One of the few times the South "wall" exceeded its expectation. I've never known noise like that at a football match.
I was actually sat opposite in the North Stand (only time I’ve sat there) and yeah, that was great as was the whole stadium after.

Agree with Sonny that the best atmosphere for a game at the new stadium was the Champs League 1/4 against City. What an amazing night.
I was there, and it was an amazing night - first time at the new stadium and I spent ages just taking it all in

The ball just bounces off him time after time. Lost out to Timber (I think) twice in the first 5 minutes. Just simply moved out of the way. I personally wouldn’t have extended his contract. Just poor performance after poor performance

He is so fucking weak. Compare him to Salah who is also slight in build and the difference when playing with his back to goal with a defender up his backside is night and day. Salah against Forest retained possession almost every time from some really difficult position whereas Son consistently coughs up possession which leads to more pressure on the back 4.
I get that’s not his game, but it’s what he’s being asked to do, so either evolve or accept a bit part role in the squad. Deflected goal aside it really wasn’t worth being in the pitch.

I wouldn't be shocked to hear he is carrying an injury. Last time his form was this poor he has played through one.

He has been playing bad for a while. What ever it is Ange is not doing him or the team any favor by keeping him on all the time.

Controversial idea: Kulu and Son should switch wings.

Son is not known for crossing from the left but is an amazing finisher. Kulu is very left footed but not known for getting behind the defence for a tap in. It makes more sense that Kulu is pinging balls from the left behind the defence for Son to run onto and Son is deadly with either foot. Sure Kulu likes step inside and ping one with his stronger left foot but defenders have gotten wise to it and he scored most recently from the left side of the box against Tamworth.

I have literally stopped thinking our attackers are the problem because it doesn't matter who is there, it's not working. It feels like we making the pitch so small for us but bigger for our opponents when they go long ball.

We are so predictable... Ball is going to feet every time. Balls over the top seem to work better, but I think that's only because everyone learning to mark us tight. Give no options for our players on the ball.

They tried that with kulu last year and it led to most of us saying we should get rid of KuLu.

Have to say all of our wingers are so poor right now. I remember the days of getting out of my seat every time the ball got switched to Bale or Lennon. If it's going to Johnson or Son I'm looking to see if it gets controlled or not.

I think a big part of Anges problem is having to play son because the options are so shit and having to mostly do that off past form as recent 2 years have not been there. Stats are there but eye test and impact in everything else isn't. Same for Johnson stats say different to the eye test and around game impact.

I have zero memory of Kulu ever playing on the left.

Alternative take: why would you design a system that gives Son barely any shooting opportunities per match and keep playing it come what may? Most managers would want to use him effectively not neuter his strengths.

That’s aside from his physical condition which undoubtedly isn’t the best given our injuries and time he’s had to play.

I suppose with the poster above about switching sides, if Ange likes to boast about how many goals his right wingers score, put our best finisher there? Can’t be worse than trying to make him a touchline winger.
