🎙️| Son Heung-Min on battling external distraction:

“There was never someone in our team who distracted us when we were working hard and training hard.

We’re playing for a great team, and we’re playing and battling against great teams. There has been a lot of [outside] efforts to distract and split our team, but we should never let ourselves be affected by that.

The most important thing is to keep doing what we’ve been doing, to train hard and work hard for victory on the pitch.

I’ve been a professional for a long enough time to know that it’s always the same story; I have no intention to let myself become distracted.

So I think it’s important for me to set an example to the younger players so that they can also battle distraction. At the end of the day, there will always be someone distracting you.

Players should never forget their efforts and their achievements. If you start doubting about what you’ve been working hard on as a professional player, it not only hurts you but also the team.

In this situation, you have to always firmly trust yourself. I trust in this team firmly. It will be important to battle and get through this situation.”

Does he mean the media?

Didn’t know Sonnys contract was up at the end of this season…

Apparently we have an option to extend it by 12 months.

Im guessing we would very likely trigger it, although I reckon if we win something this season Sonny might call it a day with us and end on a high (so 12 month extension it is then😅)

🎙️| Heung-Min Son on Rodrigo Bentancur:

“I love Rodrigo. I love him. We've had a lot of good memories. He knew and he apologised straight afterwards. I was on holiday and didn't even know what happened. He sent me a long text and you could tell it was from his heart. He then saw me at training and he was almost crying. He felt really sorry. We're all human and we make mistakes. I love Rodrigo and we move on together as a brother. We just have to wait for the FA's process and that's all I can say.”

9. L.Ferdinand - 57
10. P.Di Canio - 54

He looked like he was limping when he went off last night, anyone know if its confirmed he was fine and it was just a precaution?

Was surprised he started yesterday, he looked knackered vs brentford from end of the first half. I dont think a rest would necessarily be a bad thing sunday given that he played most of yesterdays game and came off limping. If he is carrying any kind of knock i'd rather we went with a fully fit option.

Son is a legend (minus a trophy) for us but his form has been a problem this season and maybe a minor niggle will force Ange to try something different, as long as that different isn't Timo - it is a shame Wilson is injured

As long as it isn’t Werner.

Timo is really the only "different" forward that Ange would try imo.

Odobert and Richi are out, I can't see him starting Moore, away at Old Trafford - given the Moore was not even the 1st sub last night.

Outside chance he could move Kulusevski to RW, and Johnson to left.

But, if Son can walk, I expect he will start on Sunday.

Can this shit just stop, it pops up in multiple threads and is unnecessary. He did well for us last season but for some reason he’s getting constant stick and hasn’t even been playing.
We're talking about some fans who were already critical of Soloman in pre-season after nearly a year out. Same for Forster who hasn't started for about a year. Werner injured last couple months of last season with no pre-season was always going to need time.
