Going back t playing Son and Kane more in a 4-4-2 would also mean we may well need two strikers in the summer, which I doubt very much we’ll do lol but that would be needed.

Dele may also be an option for up top I guess but would he still slow things down or perhaps thrive in the system?

Up front is the only place for Dele in that system. He's still competition for Son. We need one more striker, someone who can both replace or pair with Kane.

Would like to see Parrott and Kane play up top at some point. Have a feeling that they can form a pretty good striking partnership.

I would love to see Dele up top alongside Kane. He is such a better player when he is making clever runs higher up the pitch and playing one-two’s with Kane than when he is asked to drop in and create from midfield.

Shocking Kane has only won it once.

And Vertonghen won it two seasons ago and look at him now. :-(

Can son win it for a record 3 times next season?

Would be a record three times in a row, but of course Robbie Keane won it three times in a five year period.
Sol Campbell and Stephen Carr the only two to have won it back to back like Son now. Christian Eriksen also won it twice.

Neil Sullivan was player of the year in 2001. Bloody hell. ?

He had an incredible, almost perfect season. Then the summer came and he returned a bit chubby, just like Paul Robinson couple of seasons after. He deserved the award back then - the only player I really didn't think deserve it was Simon Davies. It probably should have been Gus Poyet. Davies were bright and the new young hope at a very dark time for us, leading to winning the award back then.

Reality is that apart from 18/19 it should’ve been Harry every season including this one.

Think we've taken him a bit for granted at his peak, difficult to say that he shouldn't have won both 2016/17 and 2017/18 when he scored 35 and 41 goals. For me Son deserve his two ahead of Kane though, Harry's been on a downer for a couple of years. Let's hope recent form is a sign for next season.

Shocking Kane has only won it once.

Also Ledley King never won it once, which is surprising as well, but he struggled with full seasons.

Last couple of seasons Kane was out for two to three months and people's perception was he was not available for whole season to give him player of the year award

Carr won it two of Ginola’s three seasons, including the season Ginola was player of the year. These awards only serve to show that we are too expectant of our flair players and really love a trier.

For fuck sake, Gazza singlehandedly got us to the 91 cup final and Paul Allen got the award.

Just woke up from the most vivid dream that he scored a hatrick at Anfield early into next season.
