Essentially a glorified loan then, because we all know that Madrid will most likely have him back in a couple years time. Completely fine with it tbh, especially if it means making a ~€15M profit in the process.
Do you get a share of that 15m?

Dunno how this thread has 23 pages. We’ve been linked by a few shite Spanish outlets and 1/2 times by Dragon but no disrespect to Dragon he’s linked us to fucking everyone. We’re clearly not getting him nor properly pursuing him.

No, but the club benefit which is what we want right?

Worst case is he is a big flop and we cannot sell him and need a better player - clause irrelevant.
Second worst case is he is brilliant and Real Madrid want him back - clause is relevant and we get 45M for him to spend on a replacement.

why do you figure that? the level a player has to display to be in contention for the Real Madrid squad is no joke. I reckon that in the best case scenario for Tottenham he will probably head back to Madrid given that it would imply Reguilón would establish himself as one of the best left backs in the world but that's not a given proposition. Real has let good players go in the past on similar deals.

I love how exciting this is for Reguilon, the fact he loved Bale when he was at Spurs and he's getting to travel with him to join us. Obviously I'm sure his dreams are Madrid but I bet he's still over the moon to be coming to us in this fashion with Bale alongside.

To think this knuckle dragger was once our manager

Sherwood took a heel turn into being a “know nothing go fackin run around a bit” footballing person when there was no reason for him to do so. It’s pretty shocking given how highly rated he was as a youth manager - we joke about the Tactics Tim stuff but he seems to completely have gone off the boil.

 Yes Tim... we have no idea how good he is... if only there had been footage of him playing for a half decent team winning something, oh and if only he had been considered that teams best player.

Oh well.

Now, granted... we don't know how he will settle etc... but honestly
