I don't understand. Ange says there's a reason Reggie's contract is expiring at the end of the season then went on to say his attitude is a non issue.

So is Ange saying the reason why he has not been playing him is due to his contract stuff?

Maybe he wants to run down his contract for a better signing-on fee at another club, which he is more than entitled to do.

I don't have a problem with it, but if he's as fit and ready to play as Ange says he is why aren't we using him? There's a reason Udogie's form is so up and down, he hardly gets a rest.

I took it to mean that the club and himself dont see him as warranting a new contract whether thats due to his ability or something else.

I’d start him against Liverpool. We need to rest Porro, and given our injuries and tired squad, seems a bit of a ‘free hit’.
Spence on the right, Reg on the left?

With our injury sitch and run of games, not a crazy idea really. Might as well use the resources we have at a time like this.

Genuinely never thought I would see him on the pitch again for us.
Something like 32 months since his last appearance for us, that has to be a record in between appearances can't think of another like that (when still registered for us during that time) .

It's for the benefit of the rest of the team, not for him. We're still paying his wages so we should use him for the sake of Udogie at least.
I agree that Ange is not playing Reguilon - for the sake of the team.

Right now, despite Reguilon being in the squad, the gaffer thinks Udogie, Davies, Gray and Spence are all better options now, and for the future.

I agree with that too, but Porro and Udogie obviously need proper rest. Davies is out, Gray is needed at CB. If Spence is used at RB then I'm fine with Reggie at LB for the odd game. We can't keep flogging those two every game especially over the festive schedule.

thought Vincent Janssen might be close but made at least 1 appearance in the last 2 seasons that he was with us

I know it was a pre-season match, but he played for us against Barcelona in summer 2023
