Much like Spence, it’ll help our cause if he can knuckle down and force his way back into Ange’s thinking.

Reportly on 53k a week and still can't shift him. I'm sure the club would take a free transfer. Fuck me what a disappointing signing

I remember the game during covid when he crossed for a bale header. I remember saying we finally had a left back who could cross a ball
And he probably still can.

It's still a bit of a mystery to me, why The Club/Ange is apparently so adamant that he cannot be part of the squad. He really doesn't strike me as a disruptive figure in any way.

One injury for defender and that suddenly changes.

Doubt it. Ange will play VDV, Davies and now Spence over him.

One of the reasons we've a stronger squad this year is that Ange will happily use the majority of them now, whereas last year he just wouldn't (save for that disastrous Fulham game), Lo Celso being the obvious one. We know he's a stubborn coach; absolutely no future for Reguilon here, whether you agree or disagree, Ange just won't play him.

Remember when people didn't want us to sign him because they were worried Madrid would just trigger the buyback clause and leave us in the shit?

I think a major factor with ange is trust. If he feels he can trust a player - to follow instructions, put effort in and fight I think he’ll play them. If whatever reason he feels a player is there that he can’t trust it will naturally take a lot to change that mindset . He won’t play them and wants them gone .

He's been loaned out multiple times and neither of those clubs have wanted to keep him. It's not just Ange, several managers haven't liked him. I think he's a player who belongs in one of the lower La Liga clubs but on the wages of a higher one so they can't take him.

Just not true - Brentford wanted to keep him, they don't have wage bill for that.

So they didn't want him due to his wages which essentially the same thing as La Liga lower level teams who don't want him on those wages
