we’re also paying the wages of a baller that we dont want. One that no one wants to buy. A Loan saves us money.

In the long term it loses us money though because it sets a precedent for all other players looking to run down their contracts.

As we learned last summer with Sanchez, the Turkish window remains open into September. Jose needs a Kadioglu replacement. I don’t think this potential sale will be dead even if he doesn’t move today.

Question is if Reguilon would fancy going to Turkey though, or instead hope for a better move in January?

Edit: Guess it is either Turkey, or train with the U21s until January.

Hopefully Jose comes in for him

Tbh he wouldn't be horrible to keep around in terms of a Udogie injury per say, but it seems odd since it was decided so long ago that he's not in the plans. How has he not been able to secure even a loan?

If, of all the players we wanted shot of, we are left with a left-back then we might at least keep him fit and engaged enough to act as cover in the one position we are very light in.

Ange would play pretty much anyone else before Reguilón. If he doesn't find a move he's training by himself.
I don't get why we'd do that. He's in his last year of contract. If we couldn't force him out by the end of this transfer window we might as well use him as cover. We are genuinely short at LB, and he's a LB even if not a particularly great fit.

Do we even have the squad space to register him? If not, who do you leave out for him?

Genuine question, I don't know how many free foreign spots we have

Yeh TBF not sure. Obviously we don't leave other players out to accommodate him, but if there's space then it's a no brainer for me to keep him in the first team squad.

I believe we do. Think we have 14 non-HG over the age if 21 (including Reg) for the PL squad.

Ange is doing what any good manager does. Clears out the negativity and wrong skillset and brings in a new team. He’s already decided Reggie isn’t part of that and he isn’t going to change his mind now. The fact that Reggie turned down a French loan today only confirms Ange is right.

Reg clearly waiting for Real to trigger the buy-back option.

I really can’t see why him turning down a loan to Lille (if that’s even true) says anything negative about him?

The other point isn’t correct as well. Spence is proof of that.
