Can he be coached out of giving away penalties and brain farts? IF he can he is some player

He had an amazing tackle that denied Aguero the goal in the six yard box.
And I thought the penalty was harsh

Mourinho has to coach a few tiny flaws out of him because he is a bloody good player, honestly think he has the potential to do anything he wants.

It was one of those that with human eyes no one ever gives, and even then there wasn't much contact. Same system didn't send Sterling off, somehow. That was as blatant a red card as you get.

Probably won't be a popular opinion on here but for me if he keeps playing like this to end of season there will not be a better time to sell him and bank a good amount to buy a replacement.

You can't coach the rashness out of him and it will continually pop up so I think there's safer options to go for next season where we won't be playing the same way as we are now i.e. having him nearly as our sole wide option.

no team will want to buy him with the sheer amount of mistakes he makes. Literally at least one a game at this point, he’s just so fricking dumb. Hopefully once Davies comes back we can move Tanganga to RB and that will be the end of this clown.

This is the main issue for me. Doesn't seem to have any concept of playing the percentages. For the pen today, ball is heading away from the goal, we have plenty of bodies in the area and Aguero is always favourite to get to the ball first. Why not get between him and the goal and stand him up. Always feels as though he goes into a lot of these kind of situations as though the attacker is clean through and running in on goal and he feels as though he has to get some kind of last ditch challenge in.

As you mention, I don't see it being coached out of his game at this stage. Sure it's probably been looked at more than once during his career but I just feel his awareness/reading of the game/situation is poor and he is very much an instinctive kind of defender who is more often than not reactive rather than proactive. Certainly has improved under Mourinho and apart from the pen incident, thought he was alright but unfortunately it's difficult to incorporate players like him into a solid defensive unit when you know they have form for rashness that don't show any sign of ceasing.

I thought he was excellent again today. Was a tad unfortunate with the tackle but didnt need to go in there but think Aguero shielded the ball well in that instance.

Making out Aurier's tackle for the penalty as rash or brain fart shows you are either blinded by your hatred or you are plainly stupid. The contact was so minimal that only repeated viewing on VAR spotted it. He was aggressive and denied space for the opponent to turn, saw the chance to clear and did. May not be the best option but being rash? Have some self respect.

was a challenge that didn't need making. he's done it a few times before when the player's going away from goal.

good game though and much improved,

It’s mind boggling the shit he gets on here when he’s one of our most consistent players this seasons. Other players make more mistakes and errors than he does. Even if we bring in Aarons there’s no guarantee that he will be any better. I remember when people wanted KWP to replace Aurier. Quite frankly they are not on the same level.

Mourinho does not think Aurier's tackle was a penalty. I agree with him as there was no clear contact, hence benefit of doubt should be given since Aurier made good contact on the ball at the same time. VAR has been pretty inconsistent this season so far in its interpretation of incidents other than offsides.

Agree 100%. He’s been much improved the last few games, but still has those brain farts. There was absolutely no need to make that challenge. Going away from the goal and the situation under control.

I actually really like the guy.
He's probably my player of the season so far. He's dynamic and appears to be a really popular member of the squad too.
Some of the criticism he receives is too harsh.

If you believe that then look in the mirror, you will see his competition
