nah it was Serge, he then knocked it around a player Bale styles and played a nice left footed pass to Kane.Wasn't it Sanchez not Aurier who did that

Completely agree, He's a winner and a leader, as a character he may do some bad things during his time with us but hopefully not however real winners have an edge, Alli has it, Kane has it, Dier has it, Roy Keane had it all in different ways and Aurier as an addition can only be a good thing.Solid display with a few touches of class. Looks a lot more dynamic than Walker going forward. But what I liked most was how he was demanding more from the players around him. Towards the end of the first half after another wave of Dortmund attacks he was clearly shouting and driving the team on to keep focused and push forward. Something I've not seen that often in this current team.

The brilliance of that play can't be understated. He's like some kind of footballing ninja.

Or he slipped and got luckyThe brilliance of that play can't be understated.
Aurier had three options there - 1) he could have tried to settle the ball and play it out from there - but Pulisic would have pounced on the ball and probably scored, or at least gotten a shot on goal. 2) Aurier could have simply booted it out with his left foot - which would have cleared the danger momentarily, but would have put the team under pressure again soon enough. Or, 3) he could let the ball run past, and then use his pace to bring the ball out of the back.
Even with the 3rd option - the way he let it run past, by ducking (and turning) - he was in a better position to chase the ball down, than if he simply let the ball through his legs.
The man may have done some boneheaded things in the past, but the football brain is pure genius.
