Watching us how we setup under Jose he's a player who is gonna thrive in this team, he's good at running in to spaces and crossing as well, he could well be an excellent understudy to Son.

This is how I want to see Sessegnon used initially - back up to the LF position. With Lo Celso competition for the inside right forward position (with Moura), and Ndombele and Sissoko fighting over the box to box CM role. Lamela / Eriksen can be back up to Dele. Dier and Winks fighting for the deep CM role (but this shows where our problem area is). We have genuine options all over the park now.

I think Jose sees him as a LB judging by his comments

Poor guy looked a bit like a rabbit in some headlights... I bet they hate all that shit

I wonder who picks the players for the press conferences. Club officials? The manager? Anyone who feels like doing it?

I think it’s all part of their media skills experience, you can see he was nervous, leaning in to the mic, saying ‘balls’ is probably not encouraged either. Funny tho. At least he didn’t say ‘obviously’ 400 times, obviously.

I hate the use of "you know".

It was a tough game, you know. I really wanted to, you know, help the team, you know.

Having watched Sess a lot over the last couple of years, he is quite a strange case. The lad has natural instinct to score goals. A lot of his goals were being in the right place at the right time for example rebounds or clever movement. He has decent vision which he showed a couple of times tonight but has never been a winger that will beat a man in a one on one situation.

It will be interesting where he ends up playing as I don't think he is aggressive enough to play at full back so I can't see the comparison to an Ashley Cole who always had an edge to him.

I think he will end up as a winger but not a Sancho, Sterling type.

I'd like to see him cutting in off the right - think he will end up more of a dynamic player than Moura.

For me, he has to be one of the two main attacking subs now.

I almost feel like he'd be a better Dele back up than anything else. He naturally reads the situation very well, but he's not going to be a winger as his footwork doesn't match the best there.

Left wing back with licence to get into the box might be the best we can hope for.
