I disagree actually as I think
1. He needs to get his debut at some point and it doesn't really matter when.
2. We're in a bad place and need people who've got a bit of character and can handle that.
3. It doesn't matter as it was basically a body to bring on to run the clock down and disrupt the last moments of the game.
1 minute isn't enough time to get involved at all, or get nervous.

It's a straight forward sub to waste a bit of time, nothing more.

Yeah thats true, I looks like there will be no easy game to make a debiut in the near future. But well, I don't think it was some fundamental or important decision in this game. No point in arguing. Just looked strange to me, that's all ;)

Everytime he got the ball he drove forward with it. Great assist and could've had a goal/another assist if it wasn't for an untimely slip.

Like what I saw.

Just looks to be such an intelligent player. His movement is outstanding. He got in down the left 3-4 times in his 15 min cameo, and created chances (and one assist). Also, If we’d picked the right pass, he was in position to get in behind a few more times.

Ok Red Star were pretty crap but he’s only a kid and it’s pretty special to read the game like he does. It also to an extent validates the view that he was playing with crap players at Fulham who couldn’t feed his runs.

One to watch IMO.

Nice to see a more traditional winger, stays out wide and and first thought is to put ball across on his natural foot. It gives us a completely different option to all our other wide forwards who tend to want to cut in. I can see Sessegnon setting up a lot of goals

Son will rightly start ahead of him most games out there but the kid adds a bit of width that we don't otherwise really have. His play for the assist was great because he ran towards rose to draw the right back out of the defensive line, then doubled back and destroyed him for pace. Would have had another assist too, if he didn't slip over as he was about to cross for Kane.

Don't mind poch playing son on the right occasionally just to get him down that left hand side making explosive runs and putting balls across the box tbh.

Nice cameo from him last night. Was good to see some decent deliveries into the box instead of the usual 'hit and hope' that we've become accustomed to.

He plays with his head up and has a real feel for the runs being made by the players in the box. I think he'll be an absolute assist machine feeding the likes of Kane, Son and Dele, and he's obviously got an eye for goal as well. If he can manage to develop the defensive side of his game I think he could be a world-class wingback but it remains to be seen whether he will, for the time being it appears he'll be played higher up the pitch.

So the three big buys/loans of last summer all played and looked like very good. Has our recruitment policy improved ?

We bought x2 £60m and a 19 yr old for £30m you’d hope we’ve bought quality. What I liked was he didn’t just aimlessly cross it, picked his man out every time.

Really interested to see where he develops for us.

I‘d argue he’s a better left midfielder but feel he’s more likely to get chances at left back with Son in front of him.

I felt people were quick to write him off based on a season of struggling at a very poor Prem side who changed manager several times.

I saw him in the Championship when his own team were generally on top and he looked very good.

Good technical skills and uses the ball intelligently. I felt he would be better with a team with more of the ball. He could be a very useful addition.

He's a full back,
same as Gareth Bale
