Todibo is young and talented. Jan is leaving and Toby doesn’t get any younger. Dier haven’t signed any new contract.
Semedo; because everyone hates Aurier and we could be in a need of a new RB

Ndombele has fallen out with Josè and wants to leave.
Sessegnon is still young and if he cant get any playtime, he wants to go places where he can. And most obviously; it’s Barcelona. You dont say no to that

I'm going to agree to disagree but that would be a fucking awful deal for Spurs.

Google Translation: "Well, no. It seems not. It seems that the FCB does not want Tanguy Ndombele and Ryan Sessegnon, from @SpursOfficial. We will see..."

Im not sure what is more embarrassing, Dan KP getting this dreadfully wrong or that jumped up idiot Jack Titt-Brooke jumping on his story and saying he has “heard the same.”

The person reporting this is a local, dedicated reporter for Barcelona. General rags in Spain are unreliable but it’s the local reporters like this person who are usually bang on the money.
How about the local reporter who mainly reports on Tottenham who’s usually spot on - ie Dan

I’m not saying he is right but just because one person from Spain says he isn’t doesn’t confirm anything

Okay, can we stop acting like Dan KP has a 100% track record because he listed the 4 players we wanted last summer. He's got a shit tonne wrong in the past as well.

People angry about Ndombele should also be angry about this because he isn't cheap and hasn't even shown a glimpse of being able to play this level. Whats more worrying is we put years of time and effort into trying to sign him.
I don't think he's been given nearly enough game time to build up his confidence and show the sort of form everybody believed he was capable of. He has great pace something we seem to lack at the moment with our slow build up play. He obviously doesn't fit in with our managers style of play at the moment so rather than stay and just be an occasional bench player they should let him go out on loan.

semedo + Coutinho + some cash (or Umtiti)

for Sessegnon and N'dombele would honestly not be a bad deal. Sessegnon might have a great future but I've never been fully convinced and it seems we have some decent fullbacks coming through. Coutinho would be better for our balance that N'dombele, though I would like to keep him. Umtiti has had a mixed few seasons but there is still one hell of a player in there, so not against that either, if we do decide to strengthen CB.

This would not be a normal deal. But, honestly, in COVID times this might be some quite clever transfer business. Kind of like, swapping players around to balance each others squad. Left field deals like these might well become a way to navigate what will be a very strange window.

I agree that we shouldn't be looking at their older players but they have some decent players who will definitely plug holes. We are skint as well. We are not going to be able to fix everything. A lot of decent players we could look at.

This is it. I don’t think he was a poor signing at all. He has all the physical and technical attributes to be great attacking left back. A position he broke through at with Fulham.

The problem now is we’ve employed a manager who doesn’t work to coach and develop young players - he expects them to perform immediately when given chances and if they don’t they are ostracised from the team.

He may have physical attributes but has been as weak as piss when he's played....

I think he lacks tenacity that someone like Rose had. He's not skilled enough to make it purely on technical ability. Needs to get harder and naughtier! But physically he's good for a fb.

Yet he works for ESPN spain, the equivalent of a general rag. He is not even completely rejecting it, just saying it doesn't appear to be true. II wouldn't see him as particularly accurate.

Shoe horning Sessegnon into being a left back could be a big mistake. He could easily become a wing forward... Like Bale before, it's still open.
This is the trouble with Mourinho he is not imo flexible enough to find out.
