Still waiting for him to get back to the very high level he was at before the two injuries. Hope he gets there.

He has been getting better and better this season, not far off where he was.
The difference is he was playing alongside another cm, often PEH, and with three centre backs behind him. This allowed him to express himself going forward, often linking up with Kulu on the right hand side.

These days if he gives the ball away it’s far more dangerous as he’s probably close to being the last line of defence.

I’d say he’s back to his pre injury form and looks sharp, we’re just not going to see the same freedom of expression from him as he’s the only cm which means giving the ball away is likely to lead to an opposition chance.

Hes a brilliant player, seems to be getting stronger each game. He was dying to nail matty cash today too but didn't line up for him.

Makes all the difference having 2 workers in midfield. A lot of talk of 6s and 8s but I do feel you just need both to cover ground and press when needed.

Agreed he was on a yellow and was flying into tackles.
He’s so much more composed than bissouma he really gave his all today
He actually didn't get booked but how he avoided one for that foul in the first half, it was quite a shocking foul tbh. But he did play very well before the sub.

Thought Bissouma was actually really good after he came on today. Normally would agree with you on composure but Yves was in control today.

Would love to see the results with and without him so far this season. Have no idea what it would loke like, but we seem so much more composed with him on the pitch.

I think I heard he was banned from playing for Uruguay for a period

That was for the crowd trouble during a Uruguay game, he still have to face a club ban for the remarks made about Sonny

He is a really underrated footballer in the league, obviously our fans know how good he can be. He is one of those players that generally slip under the radar, but when you really watch closely how he plays it becomes really obvious how good he is.
