Why? What was wrong with him? He played well?
Yep, I thought he looked good yesterday. Looked more mobile and energetic than he has in a while which can only be a good sign.
Did he play well or did everyone else being bang average make him look slightly above it?

We need to stop accepting that doing alright is good enough. 72 games, 7 goals, 7 assists. He isn’t doing enough, with the ability he has he should be the heartbeat of the team yet I can’t remember the last time he had two really good games back to back.

He looked good yesterday, which means we will get confirmation of his 12-match ban next week (y)

Would have been pre acl but he has been very lucky with injuries since

It’s such a key position I just don’t think he’s ever going to consistently meet the required standard. Don’t get me wrong, he’s not the only one.

I don’t accept that the players were bang average yesterday. It was a close game with very few chances for either side. Bentancur did his job well and worked hard.

We lost 1-0 to one of the best sides in the country. Anyone would think they’d done us 6 or 7 nil the way the negativity has been. People need to get a fucking grip.

I agree but we need to remember their whole midfield was out, so it was a huge chance to beat them.

I thought Roddy was one of our best players yesterday - he was one of the few players playing quick, forward passes, beat the press comfortably and he broke the lines numerous times. Defensively he mopped up a few situations, that very harsh yellow card curbed his defensive enthusiasm which was unfortunate

Him, Deki, Solanke and Micky all played well in my opinion

It was, but it’s not as if they had to play kids in midfield. They had experienced internationals who came in, who are also good players.

People are talking like it was a gimme.

It does feel like a lot of people are overreacting somewhat.

I understand that our form in the second half of the season wasn't great and so many are worried that this season is a continuation, but I don't see it that way.

We have improved on set pieces, winning the ball back further up the pitch and controlling games more BUT we aren't creating nearly enough chances from the domination and it's goals that win and lose games.

We are still a work in progress but we need to keep the faith - if the forwards could start to function then all the rest of the issues become minor.

It certainly was - they had no progressive plan or brain yesterday and still looked comfortable swatting away what we could muster

The forwards need more than scraps. We went side to side so often I got whiplash!

Let’s hope he (and Kulu) can recapture that scintillating form we saw from him, when he first signed for us

Cracking player 🤞

Absolutely, it's not like we are missing loads of chances - they seem very few and far between at the moment. Have to hope something clicks.
I said yesterday that we did ok but something just isn’t clicking but I can’t pinpoint what it is . Our forwards are getting pelters but other than the odd half chance I can’t think of many misses.
