Would be a huge test for Lankshear with the Turkish crowd. Not sure if that's a good thing or not.
Think I would go with Son up top given he didn't play the full game Sunday. Maybe another 60mins from him and Lankshear/Solanke come on later depending how the game is going.

we don’t have many players left

timo and Moore are out

3 goalies
4 defenders plus gray
Mids ok
kulu / Maddison
son, bj, dom, and Lankshear

that’s all

so I would say dorrington and lanks will prob get minutes

Yeah maybe but I'm not a big fan of Sonny up top and I'm not sure how fit he is.
I think Lankshear can look after himself and that the LW spot is probably our biggest issue at present, which is why I wouldn't really want to be putting too much onto Sonny before the Ipswich game.

I'd be tempted to play Madders out left, with Bergvall as CAM in front on Bents and Biss.

Some tough decisions for Ange to make.

Hopefully somebody can get in his ear before for the January window and explain it would be better to move to Saudi and earn the big bucks before he needs to retire. Because his body isnt up to it. Win for him and a win for the club. If he sees out his contract here a lame duck (pigeon) then nobody is going to want him. 🤞

Will Saudi be stupid enough to buy him now ?

Yeah, his chance at big money move has been and gone IMO. He'll be walking wounded here for 3 years and then who knows after that.

A real shame for him but not the first and won't be the last to have injuries limit their career.

Realistically do we think in two years time will Lanshire can be far more effective for us than Richy?

Three seasons and his contributed how are you very little as much as I love him his personality we really need more from the footballer
Considering Richy's injury woes which appear permanent now, he likely already is in that he is at least available for selection more often than not.

Turns out this was his big bucks move before retirement unfortunately, his next move will probably be back home as no one in Europe is going to touch him now

Lol no team in Saudi is going to buy a perennially injured player. They've got a lot of money but they're not stupid, they still need the players to be able to play on the pitch.

He will probably see out his contract for the next 2.5 years, unless he gets fit and impresses in the 2026 WC.

Richarlison's not to blame. He's perfectly entitled to do what's good for his career and his life. In particular, going to Saudi would have permanently tarnished him back in Brazil, given the reputation he's built for his left-wing politics (in contrast to most big name Brazilian footballers, many of whom are fascists). It's not his fault that he's injury prone, or that our poorly-performing medical team at the time didn't either pick up on that before he signed or help him stay fit once he was here, or that we gambled so much on him in terms of transfer fee and wages.

Not his fault, it's the club's. Even without any injuries he isn't an elite striker or WF. Spending 60 million on an ok versatile attacking option was always madness. The number of people here saying "but he's Brazil's number 9" without looking at his profile...🙄

Conte was a disaster

I don't know why blame always needs to be found.

It's not the club nor the player's fault that he has suffered with injuries, and it's impossible to say how valuable the player would be now if he hadn't had such a disrupted time at Spurs. Hypothetically if he were injury free, he could have made the CF position his own when Kane left just over a year ago and gone some way to justifying his transfer fee... we just don't know.

Big money transfers are a gamble. We moan at the club for not buying high level players, then we get the likes of Richarlison and Ndombele and they don't work out. Sometimes you need to give the players a bit of time to show their worth.... there were doubts about Johnson and Kulusevski, but look at them right now and they're worth every penny.

People in positions of power have to be held responsible for their decisions, especially when their consequences are worth tens of millions. I don't think he ever showed that he had the quality to be our main striker while at Everton. Furthermore he certainly didn't fit the bill for what Conte needed. Similarly by your logic you could say Conte just didn't work out. Or you could say we were idiots for appointing a man who was always going to be explosive if he didn't get his way, and we decided not to give him many of the players he wanted. That catastrophe was inevitable.

As a fanbase we don't bemoan the club for not singing high level players, we want the right ones after we've done our due diligence. I'm not sure we did with Ndombele. Lo Celso, Lamela or even Soldado are fair gambles who didn't work out.
