No chance , you can't sign a player to replace Kane while still here unless it's for someone who is still young and patient. Then you hope in a year they are ready to break out. Top players in their prime were never signing for us while Kane was still here. Richarlison was signed because we needed another striker. We spent a fair amount on Sanchez for a similar role in defence when we already had Vertonghen and Alderweireld. I think people look at his price and assume he was signed as a first choice. Proven strikers are just expensive. He was signed to be our Jota.

Seems Richy is getting more injuries now than earlier in his career, looking at PL only

17/18 no games missed
18/19 One game missed bruised ribs
19/20 two missed knee injury
20/21 one missed head injury
21/22 four missed knee then two calf
22/23 four with calf , three with hamstring
23/24 two with groin, two with knee, then two with knee again, three with hamstring

Not as though he had a history of injuries worse than other players in the early years.

He was also playing with a niggly injury for most of the 22/23 season and the start of 23/24 season.
