I firmly believe that our #9 is cursed
Shock horror. Should have cashed in.
Yep in hindsight a few of us who wanted him to take the offer are being proved right, unfortunately we have a £60mil asset who is rarely fit and can rarely be relied upon. This is the reason why I was frustrated he didn't take the Saudi offer. Fair play to him and all but as a spurs fan I'm gutted because we can't rely on him so we missed out on getting 50m+ for him which could have helped us get someone who can stay fit for at least most of the season.
He's a nice lad but still wish he went
Yea when you combine his mental health struggles with his physical health struggles he really has a lot going on, of course we want to support the person involved but in terms of a player and a valued asset he is really poor and we need to move him on asap.I’m convinced that when players are consistently injured like this there are issues with preparation and recovery, either on the player or staff side. It’s simply not good enough and can’t be put down to just bad luck.
We tried. He wasn’t going though and no one other than the Saudis will pay that price.Shock horror. Should have cashed in.
Time to fast track Lankshere

Too unreliable. We need to sell
Completely agree with you. This ‘need two strikers’ thing won’t work when both want to be considered first choicePrediction: he will be itching to leave next summer, after playing second fiddle to Big Dom.
Who should we have cashed him in with? He's clearly been for sale but he doesn't want to go to Saudi, that's not our fault.Shock horror. Should have cashed in.

I do wonder if sometimes it's mental rather than physical with some injury prone players.I’m convinced that when players are consistently injured like this there are issues with preparation and recovery, either on the player or staff side. It’s simply not good enough and can’t be put down to just bad luck.
In the PL era it hasnt been a particularly lucky/positive one:I firmly believe that our #9 is cursed
I couldn’t agree more, sometimes it’s quite embarrassing the lack of support for our players! The state of some of these comments, fuck me
More often than not, it's a psychological issue that manifests in the body.I’m convinced that when players are consistently injured like this there are issues with preparation and recovery, either on the player or staff side. It’s simply not good enough and can’t be put down to just bad luck.
I ‘felt something’ last night and I’m ready to go again much to Mrs B’s disgust…He ”felt something”?
