Been disappointed with him recently but was very good tonight. Some impressive blocks, and his passing was less erratic.

He's plenty good enough just a little inconsistent which you'd expect from a young player. He will grow and grow and we'll all laugh at those writing him off.

Still charges out a bit more than i would like but was great overall. That stop on the line from Trent though!

Brilliant tonight and dare I say it....but his playing out from the back looked a lot better. He looked a lot more comfortable on the ball.

I think Radu deserves a lot of credit. He is being seen as the senior player but is still very young himself. Put an experienced proper centre back next to him (no knock on Gray at all) and he will grow from strength to strength.

Not sure if Liverpool didn't (or maybe couldn't) focus on him so much this evening but I thought he did really well up against a very good Liverpool attack.

Credit where it's due.

I think if Romero leaves and Dragusin becomes a starting CB we should try and utilise him in the way Ferguson used Vidic. That partnership with Ferdinand worked because one was clearly more comfortable on the ball and quicker so could play a covering role and the other was a fighter who would put his body on the line and win duels with aggression and bravery. VDV is clearly better on the ball and far quicker but Dragusin can be the guy who is a physical beast. I think tonight is a good example because his only objective against arguably the best attack in the world right now is just to stop them and anything in terms of passing was secondary.

Didn’t play Kamikaze ball last night and all of a sudden Dragusin was excellent. Also brought the ball out of defence a few times. People need to chill, he will be an important player for us in years to come

Was about to post similar. Our set up last night was way more suited to his style and his performance reflected that. I thought he was very good along with the rest of the back 5. Long may it continue!!

Strikes me that a lot of the issues with him passing out from the back are explained by being in wrong positions from the outset and that starts with the goalkeeper. With a goalie comfortable both giving and receiving a pass it all becomes a lot easier and all of the defenders have a guaranteed safe ball. I thought with Kinsky at the back everyone in the back line chilled out a lot. There was still the odd misplaced pass here and there but his mid and long ranged passing was pretty good. With a goalie very comfortable at picking those passes out too it also helps to relieve a strong press (again helping the whole defence).

I think he's a more than capable back up at 22 and his age doesn't seem to be an issue mentioned much at all (particularly by the likes of sky) z because he's an accomplished international defender at a very young age. I don't buy this "doesn't fit the system" business.

He carried the ball well last night, didn't know he head that in his game.

His strengths are usually in the air and blocking shots and he did that exceptionally against the best attack in the league.

Still needs to find some consistency, but let's give him credit for pushing through illness to be available. Certainly seems he has the right character and with a keeper more comfortable on the ball, he was put under less pressure on the ball.

Unsure why my comment on Dragusin in the Dragusin thread is off topic...

Watched the highlights again, I do think tactical tweaks helped play more to his strengths and having a keeper more comfortable with his feet took some pressure off. I feel Dragusin has the potential to be a really important for us.

I just wanna send some love to Radu for the stand out moment of the Liverpool game.
Not the clearance off the line (although full props for having the intelligence to be there), but his diving header to save the follow up.
That's the "Go back to the shadow. You Shall Not Pass!" attitude that I want to see from every one of our squad.

He falls into the category of good player, will get better as the team as a whole improves.

Still think he could be our best natural defender, and be more than acceptable with his ball playing to have a long term role at the club.

He will also benefit if we continue to mix up our passing like we did against Liverpool, as it will stop teams from auto pressing him (and others) whenever our goalkeeper has it. Just gives a player like Radu that extra half second they need

I thought we’re supposed to be data driven with our scouting now.

Man, I’d love to see the data we used to scout this guy and recommend him as a good fit for our team.

Utter shite.
