Although Gray has filled in well think radu would look so much better with either romero or VDV but if we cam cut our losses might be best for all

Funny thing is we now want his agent to start talking

He's one of the worst defenders we've had years and years. Anyone suggesting otherwise is in denial. Liverpool didn't play as well as the media are suggesting. Our defence NOT our tactics gifted them most of their goals.

At the beginning of the season, when Romero had a couple of mistakes, a lot of posters here said we should use Dragusin because he’s better.
He’s not, but he’s a good player being exposed by tactics. The more open you defend the more prone you are to individual mistakes.
Im sure van dijk would struggle in this team too

Time to change the nickname?

Everybody wants to give Ange all the time in the world but then wants rid of a 22 year old CB. Dragusin just needs time to develop his game. He is, and will be, a fine defender imo.

Had a difficult night but he's young and has an 18 year old beside him (although an exceptional one). Hard on him right now but he hasn't done badly since he came in.

He plays hero defence, which is brilliant if you're not the one making the mistake to let them in

Maybe a language issue but he isn't good at playing the offside trap

Our defenders and CM's appear to all Mark space and ball watch. (A magical combination...)
It's crazy watching it week after week where every player running back is solely focused on the ball and completely unaware of players running off them. Sometimes (like today with Sarr for Diaz's first) they run right in front of them and they are so focused on the ball that they ignore the run/s.

Then we get those that just weakly point as their man runs past (or away from) them. It's like a disease, and one that we've had for many years.

It was a weird game for defenders. I didn't think Gray, Radu and Spence had bad games. I just think midfield didn't work hard enough and it left them exposed. But that's just the system.

Needs to be given time but I think Bergvall have the defenders better options than Bissouma. They seemed to play better with him

Had some decent games, had some dreadful games.

I'd normally say "he's young and learning" but my concern is more about his ability and mobility.

Think he is one of those defenders that looks better with real protection in front and by his side as he can probably show his strengths more such as blocking etc and not worry about movement around him.

I think he's a good defender. A good defender in this system though is an entirely different matter and remains to be seen.

I wonder what his agent has to say, he's normally more talkative.

Seen some good moments from him and some bad.

He’s still young and quite new to the league. I’m definitely not ready to make a judgment on him yet.

Last season there was a lot of talk about Kulusevski’s suitability for our playing style and he’s turned it around and been our best player this season.

No reason Dragusin can’t work on his game and find a role in the team.

He's young but he's not going to suddenly gain pace as he gets older. That's my main problem with him - he looks far too slow for Ang's system. Really don't know why we bought him

I won’t go in hard on a young defender playing alongside inexperienced players (some out of position) in a flawed system which leaves the back line completely exposed for large periods of matches. I would hate to be a centre half in this system as you’re on a hiding to nothing.

Hopefully you'll realise how ridiculous this statement is once you've recovered from the disappointment of yesterday's game. We've moved on five inferior CBs in the past couple of years alone.

Anyone suggesting otherwise is in denial. Liverpool didn't play as well as the media are suggesting. Our defence NOT our tactics gifted them most of their goals.
I agree that it was our defence, not our tactics. However we need to manage our expectations of how our third-choice CB should perform when he isn't rotating into an established defensive unit. We were missing four of our back five, or five of our back six if you include Bentancur, who would surely have started ahead of (and done a better job of shielding the defence than) Bissouma if available.

How many other 22-year-old CBs would excel while playing as part of a defensive line that includes an 18-year-old CM at LCB, an out-of-favour third-choice RB at LB, and a RB who is clearly shattered and but can't take a rest because we have so many injuries?

Who do you think was supposed to be leading the defensive line to coordinate an effective offside trap? Your options:
A 22-year-old back-up RCB.
An 18-year-old CM playing at LCB.
A 24-year-old third-choice RB who has barely played for us and was playing out of position at LB.
An attacking RB who clearly relies on pace not positional awareness.

Put any one of Romero, VDV or Davies in at LCB and then you can criticise him if it's still a problem.

People have rightly pointed out his flaws but why do people think he will be moved on.
What can't he be trained and develop the aspects he is slightly short on at his age ?
