Could someone please explain briefly how Paratici is able/allowed to be involved, and seemingly be presenting and talking directly to a prospective player? How can this be allowed when he's banned from football?? Apologies if this has been asked and answered, but read through most of this thread and not seen it mentioned... LOVE what's he's done and apparently is doing, just slightly worried he's operating outside what he's allowed to and we'll be punished hard for it... 🥶

Guys I'm on page 156 at 7.30am, just got home and can't face going through every page, around what page did the news hit that we had him?

While his initial ban was from football entirely, it was later reduced to a ban from player/transfer negotiations. My guess is that Spurs are interpreting the term "negotiations" very narrowly to only include discussions about numbers, and that he can still extol the virtues of the THFC to prospective players.

Here's a brief explanation of his appeal , that's assuming the info is correct, he can still talk to Levy/Munn etc about his thoughts on the merits of player, he was at the Everton game recently with Levy..

WHAT THEY SAID: A statement from Paratici and his lawyers read: "FIFA has upheld the appeal presented by Fabio Paratici against the provision of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee which, in extending the temporary inhibition imposed by the FIGC worldwide, extended it to a ban on taking part in any activity linked to football. Paratici, assisted before FIFA by a team of lawyers made up of Paolo Lombardi, Luca Pastore and Ian Laing, will therefore be able to continue working in the world of football, albeit with reduced duties compared to those carried out to date, in compliance with the limits imposed by the sanction imposed by the FIGC."

THE BIGGER PICTURE: The conditions of Paratici's reduced ban mean that he will not be able to enter changing rooms during matches, will not be allowed to negotiate contracts with players or agents and cannot participate in league meetings. He can, however, perform administrative tasks and attend training sessions.

haha that is mad!

Have to say I'm blown away he chose us over Bayern, we are a big club but Bayern are on the level above. I guess PL played a part but it reads like Ange did too. Well chuffed.

Can't imagine talking to Ange and Tuchel and deciding 'Yeah, I think I'll go with the lanky, stick insect weirdo from Munich'.

What's mad is that a large number of the prominent (or loudest) hissyfitters, naysayers and doom merchants have gone missing :woot:
They'll pop up in one of the other player threads. I'm guessing the Gallagher one so they can meltdown when he signs a new contract with Chelsea.

Imagine the things you’d learn from multiple conversations with Ange.

Compared to Tuchel probably just banging on about what brand of lock he uses to keep his family secured in the basement.

No that it was literally the page after I walked out of the door this morning at 7.30. Now I have to skim through ever page to enjoy the full experience.

I hope as I go through the pages someone has been on Bayern forum and got us some bitter comments 😀

It’s amazing having a manager with sensible transfer targets and doesn’t demand overpriced and overaged players that don’t fit the long term vision of the club. Seems like we finally have a manager that is capable
Of working within Levy’s structure and ways of dealing. Good times.
