I think the hate he got in match day threads was a little unwarranted, would give his all and sometimes when he was knackered he made mistakes.

Good luck, Pierre 🫡

Spurs selling PEH for a relatively low fee is hopefully a sign of our progression as a club.

It's a further sign that we are willing to move people on without haggling for every penny (which leads to issues bringing in players).

And it's a sign that we are looking to improve the quality in our squad rather than accepting players who aren't at the level we want to get to.

And I don't want that to be seen as a huge slight on PEH.

When we signed him he was exactly what we needed and he has been a magnificent servant of the club. Even in recent months when he has looked a bit out of his depth, he's given absolutely everything which is perhaps more than can be said for others in the squad.

We are rightly in the market for better players than PEH. But PEH has played an important role in us getting to this position.

I agree with most of your whole post except I’m not sure I would class the fee reported for him as a relatively low fee. I think it’s pretty fair for all parties.

Gave 110% most matches. Had a never say die attitude. Limited ability on the ball though.

He reminds me of a cross between Michael Brown and Freund.

No matter where he goes he'll put in a shift. Good luck to him

We've seen in glimpses (and sadly more often for Denmark) why he's a good player, and it should have been obvious when we signed him what his limitations were. We have never played in a way that suits his game (he's not a 6 and he certainly can't play on the half turn or in confined spaces). It was very easy to get frustrated when watching him but we really didn't help him. Having said he's almost come to represent an era for us that I'm glad to move beyond so happy with this deal.

Not sure why this is seen as a low fee, we only paid £15m for him at his peak and he's in his last year of his contract. Good business to recoup our money.

The initial report mentioned 13.5 million euros. That felt like a snip. The new figure is a lot more reasonable.

Just not good enough to play in any kind of progressive team. Honest pro but him leaving is as good as any signings for me. Havent enjoyed watching us with him in the team and look forward to Bergval and Gray taking us forward.

Completely agree.
We're actually making a profit on an unwanted (but decent) player.
Can't see this as anything but a really good deal.
