He is a very good player and one of our best. We really need to rotate him more though as he is being run into the ground.

Really absolutely atrocious again. An incredibly bad positional defender - ihave lost count of the number of goals that come from the exact position he should be in. Every single team we play against has the same strategy which is to target that exact spot.

Obviously a very talented footballer and easy on the eye at the other end but reminds me a lot of David Kerslake the way he defends.

Think it's super harsh to lay the blame on a full back, that's asked to play like a number 10, whilst getting ridiculously overplayed.

I wish Porro was our biggest issue at the minute, but there's a reason why both him and udogie are getting pelters from fans at the minute. The role they play in this team is thankless, as they are constantly having to sprint back to get into position, and when they do they are usually out numbered.

I understand that he's been overplayed. And accept that's probably having an impact on his general play which is well down on what he's capable of. But nonetheless he has always been and remains an appalling positional defender.

He's a modern fullback, so yeah his defending isn't top notch, but if you go back and watch any of the last 10+ games and you'll see he's on a hiding to nothing, Johnson lets his man run off him continuously. He's constantly got 2+ players to mark and tactically we do nothing to change it.

There's an easy fix for this, provide more bodies around the full backs so they aren't so isolated, but Ange refuses to change anything.

Let me do some maths for you guys
Last season he played 3363 mins for club and country
This season he's played 1916mins for club and country

We're not at the halfway stage yet, but he's already played 57% of the minutes he played last season(last season he missed 3 games)

He needs a rest. There’s cover there. I don’t care what Ange thinks about Spence, no player can play 4000+ minutes in a season at their top level. It’s impressive how he’s managed to remain fit enough to keep churning out 90 mins 2x a week. Give. Him. A. Rest.

Been played into the ground, today he was simply awful and his performance was, to use Ange’s newfound phrasing for a Spanish International, simply unacceptable.

I’m sure he was a wing back at Sporting under Amorim. I might be wrong but didn’t he cause us all sorts of problems when we played them?

He's tired, fatigued, playing badly and making poor decisions - an awful combination.

He's knackered. He'll be a totally different player if he can have a rest. Kulusevski was the same at the end of last season.
