The way we play means he'll always leave a big hole at the back which isn't his fault, but he's consistently so good, and genuinely seems to love the shirt.

He's quality but I still have confidence in Spence as good a deputy as we could have

Even his elbow was in pain after planting it (unintetional) in Keane’s nose.
Speaking of that, whatever stream I had for it the commentator was overreacting so much calling it naughty. He was clearly trying to lift his arms over to squeeze through the gap. Commentator made it sound like an intentional elbow.

Seems to be making consistent incremental improvements. Not without weaknesses, but he seems to be working on ironing them out.

He's class this guy - City and Real will come knocking in the next 12 months or so, I reckon.

I have been thinking for a while that we should put him in the front 3 instead of Johnson as he would be a much bigger threat, and can also pick a cross out. Give Spence a run out in his vacated full back position.
Our work from both flanks in the final third was pretty poor on Monday, and needs improving big time.
It’s a bit radical I know but I think he could make a success of it.
I think Porro is so sucessful from running from deep. But who knows he could end up like Bale. Wouldn’t say no r that.

They could try but they both know Spurs will ask for too much. Porro was actually a City owned player for 3 years but never got a chance there and was just loaned out, so not sure he'll want to go back.

Probably my fave Spurs player at the moment, work rate, attitude, intensity, technique, love for the club, never give up attitude.

Id rather Pedro was 3rd vice captain than Maddison tbh.

Yeah I agree with this. Considering everyone was saying he couldn't play right back he's actually become really dependable defensively. He seems to really relish that side of the game, as well having the added bonus of being extremely creative and impactful with the ball at his feet.

I hate it when player threads get bumped during the international break. Sometimes it's good but I always fear the worst.
