That was the most ridiculous thing I have seen in 50 years of football
Him hopping around like that
Wtf Ange why didn't you get him off straight away
We wasted every single minute he was dancing around like a tw%©
So angry with Ange and his staff
Yep I dont think Ange’s staff did him any favours not getting Spence ready asap and then the tactical nous of Porro and Ange was naive at best.

I love the guy, but he just needed to admit he was hurt and go down. If he's unwilling to do that then Ange subs him without a conversation or even Son and Romero need to hoof the ball out and drag him off the pitch themselves. The ball went out a few times and we carried on like normal and then when Leicester won the ball back Porro couldn't even jog back to his position.

I couldn't believe any of our players didn't put the ball out, he was clearly fucked and probably did himself more unnecessary damage hobbling about the pitch - it also lead to that incident with Vicario and Bergvall who found himself isolated in the rb position.

It was frustrating to watch. We have no game intelligence /management / leadership anywhere on the pitch, not even from our senior players. Only person even from last season that had some were PEH and Perisic.

We actually got a foothold on the match with the 4 subs and lost it the moment Porro started imitating Bugs Bunny. Then kept losing it by not subbing him. By the time he finally got pulled the momentum was gone.

I may be way wrong here, but didn't Ange tell him to get up and try to fight on? That was what the commentary implied.

I thought it looked like he was trying to figure out if he was actually hurt or not, and if it was minor and something he could run off to just get going again given the lack of time remaining.

Porro should have just gone down and have it looked at, even to give himself a minute to recoup or the medical team advise Ange to make the sub.

I felt it was actually a scene that shows one of our bigger problems: Leadership and right mentality. No one handled the situation right. Not Porrio, not our captains, not Ange.

I was really baffled by this. We have subs left, even a RB on the bench. This was a huge risk for Porro to get even more damaged and to get exposed at the back as we were basically playing without a RB.

5 goals in his last 10 apps including the pre-season fixtures. He was a consistent goal threat all of last season but it feels like it’s really starting to click for him now. I love to see him embracing the responsibility. Huge personality on and off the pitch. We need more of those.

Yes he's great going forward and has improved a lot defensively but the space in behind him is the number one weakness that every opponent targets. Leicester's only strategy against us was get in behind Porro, it's all they tried the whole game, and you can see from their goal that he doesn't get back in quick enough and Vardy pulls into that spot. Not really his fault as he's basically being given an impossible job to cover so much ground, but that area continues to be a source of joy for every opponent we face.

This was a weird one wasn't it. It reminded me of when Veliz got injured late in a game last season and he desperately tried to play on to help the team even though he was clearly fucked. In that instance Ange and the coaching staff were screaming at him to stop running about and sit down injured, so that a) he wouldn't aggravate his injury and b) play would stop and he'd be subbed off.

So I couldn't understand at all why they weren't consistent in this approach with Porro... tell him to sit down and wait for medics to come on to look at him and give time for Spence to come on as a sub. Instead we did the opposite and put ourselves under pressure with ten men, with Bergvall giving away the ball in a dangerous position as Porro wasn't in a fit state to help. Very odd management of the situation.

The balance on the right side of defence isn't there. Porro is always forward and Romero isn't a positioning type of defender so we're always open. Not sure that mix will ever be fruitful for keeping clean sheets.

It's actually not the first time we have done that... I can't remember the season or seasons... But I've shouted at the TV before watching Spurs, when a clearly injured player... was not substituted immediately... and Ange is probably not the only manager in football to have done that. The players have a role in it as well... some of them are a bit dramatic or stubborn.

I bet Kane has finished games for us when he has had injuries and knocks during games....

but It looks stupid... agree.

Porro plays HARD and takes a ton of knocks and ticks but he's a little warrior and tries to shake or run things off but sometimes he does seem a tad dramatic its like he's making out his torn his ankle ligaments then 5 mins later he's run it off and is fine, the medical stuff must never know whether to run on and help him or not.

Love Pedro tho.

Is he fit for Saturday?

I think Ange assumed, in the same way that I did, that Porro was putting it on a bit. I was expecting him to start running normally again at any second.

Manager is in a tough spot - if the player does not indicate he needs to be subbed.

Most of the time when a player is "injured" they are not really injured and just need a moment. Having said that - the manager needs to make sure the players know the difference, and if they cannot carry on - they need to go down, so a substitute can be made.
