I love Sarr but I am excited for the time when we can start Bentancur and bring Sarr in around the 60 minute mark. Can you imagine his energy and running in that midfield against tired legs of opponents? I think he is going to make an amazing super sub for us when he is not starting.

I've seen it mentioned on other dark sites that we won't mention, but during the week a ton of fans were calling for Bentancur to slot straight back into the first team.

I disagreed completely and I feel even more assured of this today. What a signing this lad is turning out to be. My goat for the season.

Yes he has some improvements to make, but he is class already at such a young age.

Bents is going to have to earn his place back in the team, unless rotation is needed and obviously during AFCON, but he by no means goes straight back into the starting 11.

The Bissouma/Sarr effect is too strong at the minute.
i'm sorry Sarr is fantastic what a talent and he is clearly ready and will keep improving but he isnt world class yet he has a great engine and mobility and he is massively helping the team. However Bentancur has both those assets as well and has world class ability on the ball. Bentancur gets in any team in the league its harsh on Sarr but he will have to improve a hell of a lot to keep Bentancur out once he is fully fit.

Whilst I think Bents is a technically superior player it's a bit more complicated than talking about who is better and should play when both are fit. What Sarr and Bissouma do between them allows Maddison to play his game with freedom. Bentancur won't press as much and will change the dynamic of our team, and what has brought us so much success so far this season. We won't be as aggressive or fast-paced with him in there, but he'll obviously give us other benefits and the thought of him and Maddison together is exciting in other ways. All depends on how Ange can juggle the system. The discussion on who should play is a bit pointless without mentioning the tactical implications.

However, that is an 'if' after a ACL

Bentancur not press as much? Have you forgotten how he plays? He's every bit aggressive , has that typical South American workrate. At times he was the only one pressing under Conte.

I love that he has the confidence to shoot from distance regularly [with both feet!]. If he can hone in on that ability and be a goal threat from all areas of the pitch it will help him in his development to becoming a “world class midfielder”

I love Pape, he just looks so happy in every video/photo. He works hard, is good on the ball and still has loads of room to improve there and just glides beautifully around the pitch.

Also not one of those players you’re ever going to worry about when it gets tough (because he seems so positive). While half the team was out there in long sleeve tops and Ange was in a puffer jacket, Pape was out there in a vest and loving it.

Sarr is a rookie but could have a high ceiling. Bents was our best player pre-injury. Fingers crossed Bents hits his straps before Christmas, cos it’ll be an awesome midfield group for the second half season.

Every week on 5Live, the Patrick Kielty show get singers to sing football chants (some of which have been really good) and they've just done the Sarr Man song, which was great.
I'm sure some clever techy member on here can find it and post a link (I wouldn't even know how to start doing that!).

Seems to have a great head on his shoulders, never seems to get involved in any controversy on the pitch, just focused on his job and he's been brilliant this season.

Still just 20. Ok, a couple of iffy passes but big whoop. I saw a prime Redondo misplace passes.
