He was 19 on Monday this is the full Interview he had with Spurs TV.

Comes across as grounded and intelligent, but masked by his shyness. Don't think he enjoyed the scrutiny of the cameras all that much! Just needs to believe in himself more and the confidence will come.

Must be soul crushing for both him and Dier to be passed up in favour of someone who’d likely qualify for a blue parking badge. Wanyama’s days as a top midfielder are clearly over, why does Poch persist. It’s so bizarre.

I have a feeling that he will start in the league cup game on Tuesday? If I remember correctly that pitch is complete crap though when we played them a few years back. It would be nice to rest most of the first-team starters to avoid injuries.

Not starting for U21s pretty sure he hasn’t played a full 90 minutes since Colchester that’s 7 weeks utterly ridiculous.

Yeah, he is being wasted here, only defensive midfielder we have that isn't crocked and doesn't get a sniff in a relegation challenging side.

he's somewhat fortunate to even be in the u21s, not through a lack of ability but a lack of playing time.

here's the current u21 squad and their senior playing time at club level so far this season:

player - team - minutes
eberechi eze - qpr - 1418
connor gallagher - charlton athletic - 1358
dwight mcneil - burnley - 1118
ben godfrey - norwich city - 1103
aaron ramsdale - bournemouth - 1080
grady diangana - west brom - 1063
trevoh chalobah - huddersfield town - 1040
jonathan panzo - monaco/cercle brugge - 916
max aarons - norwich city - 904
joe willock - arsenal - 812
ellery balcombe - viborg ff - 710
sam surridge - swansea city - 514
tom davies - everton - 463
mason greenwood - man utd - 459
reece james - chelsea - 408
reiss nelson - arsenal - 320
phil foden - man city - 293
james justin - leicester city - 180
marc guehi - chelsea - 180
rhian brewster - liverpool - 180
lloyd kelly - bournemouth - 90
oliver skipp - tottenham - 82
ryan sessegnon - tottenham - 15
brandon austin - tottenham - 0

obviously sessegnon has been injured but no surprise to see our two right at the bottom and this has pretty much been the case with every england age team over the past three or four years. as you know, skipp doesn't play at any other level either so 82 mins is his total game time so far all season, plus about 40 mins with england.

what makes it even more frustrating is that after a few years of this fans will say they're not good enough but is it any surprise when they hardly ever play? skipp could have gone to fulham for the season as part of the sessegnon deal but instead he's here doing nothing. poch will insist that staying here and training under him is best for his development but to me it's just sheer arrogance on his part to think that training alone is sufficient enough replacement for playing actual games.

skipp's contract runs until 2021 so he doesn't have that long left, i just hope he doesn't make the same mistakes kwp made who seemed to sign a new long-term deal every six months, or after every appearance - whichever came first.

The only encouraging thing is that England must have liked what they saw to have 3 call ups this season. But 122 minutes across all forms is madness. How can you just expect him then to slot into pace of PL. If we sell Wanyama which is likely I have no issue if stays in squad but has to play U23.

Ill ignore sessegnon as he's a signing and once he's fit he'll play plenty of games I reckon. But our academy boys are the ones with the least amount of minutes because they (delete as appropriate) have an attitude problem/aren't working hard enough/aren't outperforming first teamers in training/aren't taking their chances/aren't good enough. We must be the unluckiest club ever. I'm pretty sure Tanganga also has the least amount of first team football in the u20s and still getting selected. And when they stop getting selected everyone will once again look at the academy and wonder what they're doing wrong, despite the academy still producing players that are deemed good enough to make these squad without playing any games

I think if we'd stayed in the Carabao Cup we'd have seen our youngsters get a lot more minutes. With the poor spell we are having in the league can we really expect plenty of youth minutes clocked up? Tricky and tough year so far for all involved.

So I'm going to assume that he'll be put in the same unfortunate category as KWP. Even though were not in a position to be playing youngsters just for the sake of it, both Skipp and KWP have been poorly managed by the staff.

Loans. Desperately needed for these lads. Skipp should have 40 senior games under his belt, KWP should be approaching 100 by now.

Oliver Skipp is 19 years old are people suggesting he should be playing regularly and because he isn't his career has been ruined?

He could have minutes as a sub. The occasional start. It gives the other players a rest and keeps then on their toes. It also hints at a future beyond the mess we are in and says « commitment is a given if you’re going to play for our club ». We haven’t seen that from some of the more experienced players.

Nobody is saying he has to be in every week. Big difference from that and 82 minutes all season against League two opposition. Poch record with youth players is very poor now, Winks aside. Even Mourinho brought through McTominay and I don't believe he would be much worse. Another reason why a new coach is needed.

wanyama isn’t a footballer anymore and Dier is an awful one. He’s much better than either, a better defensive mid than winks and should be playing regularly. His career hasn’t been ruined, it is being ruined.
