Some very weird opinions on here. If you can’t see what Skipp can offer in the last 2 games then maybe football isn’t for you.

Be interested to hear how Etete gets on. Lennon is there for updates.

Starting to think KWP has had his chance to prove himself and really he just hasn’t. I mean he’s ok but nothing special. Would definitely put him 3rd choice in pecking order now and loan him out. I’m sure he’d get a decent loan maybe even bottom half PL. I know it’s only been 2 games, but been so impressed with Tanganga almost be tempted to give him the squad place. Let him fight it out with Foyth as 4th choice, also frees up Foyth to play RB.

Maybe we should ALL just remember that this is pre-season and the aim is to build fitness and familiarity with Poch's gameplan(s)? It's been 2 games and you want Tanganga to get promoted and have doubts about KWP getting any better.

KWP isn’t based on 2 games it’s based on 20 and I’ve seen no progression. For me this was his chance to stake a claim and he simply hasn’t done. Yeah might be shooting from the hip on Tanganga. But that’s my opinion I’ve likd what I’ve seen. And let’s not forget this hasn’t been Barnet and orient. He’s been up against Ronaldo Mandzukic Rashford Martial and looked completely comfortable. Of course this tour is about mote than just fitness. If someone plays great or plays shit do you think that has no bearing on Pochettino thinking ?

The lad doesn't turn 19 until September, has plenty of minutes in the PL under his belt and now a full preseason with hard game time in the Far East. Poch likes him, we should too.

However he performs, good, bad - don't criticise too harshly, encourage!

Looking like he is progressing but he was playing an Italian team in a preseason match. Every time he got the ball he had time to look up, dribble a little, take a short bathroom break and then pick a pass.

It's a far cry from the pl at full pace. So let's calm down a bit with the comparisons.

To me he seems to have a little Beckenbauer, platini and zico about him.

Really, I thought more Baresi, Cruyff and Socrates to be honest but each to their own!

I always think he looks like a kid from the 70's. Scruffy, with a dodgy barnet, about to go scrumping or getting his ball back from over a neighbours fence.
I guarantee he drinks Tizer on Fridays and has rammed his balls onto the gear of his Raleigh Chopper at least three times

Watch Skipps feet more than his hair or face.its a lot more telling of his football intelligence.
The kid is great with a ton of real potential

He is a really good player with massive potential, one that England should be excited about in the future as he has the potential to play as a no6 with technical ability and an eye for a pass which we tend to have a dearth off at all levels.

I remember when Poch put him in the first games he played and how industrious he was using space even when not getting the ball he would make himself available for a pass.He could see the angles. This is vision.
As time went on he was never afraid to either go forward or forward the play. That's what I liked about him.
I want to see more of him this season. He doesnt look like a DM to me as he is less conservative than most DMs. It will be great if he could get some gigs in the domestic cups in a more central role

Will be very interesting to see if he’s in any England age group teams. The fact to date he hasn’t been is very odd.

Winks I think is very good. His medium /long passing is great and he has shown he can break up plays but up to now he has been a more conservative player, more balanced like a Carrick.
With Ndombele we need a strong DM and I hope Winks can grow into that role. I think Skipp is more suited for a CM role (and because if his style even into an 8 role)
In any case quality coming through the ranks is great.Skipp to me no less than Winks.
