Big transfers are exciting, but seeing a youth player on the cusp of a major breakthrough is even better.

It's what its all about. I'm tempering expectations though as i can't remember the last time we brought through anyone this young to the first team.

You probably have too, but Poch seems to prefer bruisers in CM.

He's hard, lots of yellows and a red or so at Under-23 etc. Can mix it alright for his tender years IMO!

I actually see a bit of Scotty P. in him.

(Speaking of which...wasn't it you who seemed to almost have hated Parker?)

I liked Parker, brilliant guy but didn't think he was the right fit for our CM with Modric. Skip seems like a much better ball player than Scott, who basically kept it very very simple.

Parker was playing as a No 10 at Skipp’s age, and was seen as the one of the most talented kids in the country, McDonald’s ad and all that.

He gradually moved back to DM.

The kid looks a real talent. Could see Poch seriously considering him for the 2019/20 squad. CM seems to be the most common route into the first team so hopefully he doesn't get his head turned by foreign clubs.

Agreed. Parker was unreal at Charlton as an attacking player.

Skipp and Amos look pretty decent. I'd like to see them and Edwards get some time this season

I was very impressed with the cameos that Skipp had in the ICC. Looked with business.
