Straight into the Leicester team alongside Winks. It will be interesting to see how that midfield fares over the course of the season.

A midfield of Winks, Skipp and Ndidi will create next to nothing and concede plenty. That team needs Buonanotte to have a crazy good season.

Edit: They've conceded from a free kick after Skipp lost possession and fouled Watkins. Not the best of starts

Leicester fans seem generally impressed with his debut

Skipp was always going to be a good player for a lower prem/championship club. He's a good, solid pro who gives his all. Just didn't fit what we're going for now.

Both him and Winks aren't good enough to start at PL level.
Winks in particular does not want to get into the final third. He is a pure link-up player.

Watched the game yesterday and I think Winks did a good job. He keeps the ball moving, puts in a tackle and drives them up the pitch.

Skipp was decent as well unlucky not to get an assist due to the ref

I watched too but feel differently re: Winks.
I felt he was comfy to receive the ball from the CBs if no one pressures him. He is also ok distributing the ball sideways and in short passes.
However I dont recall him making any runs forward nor back. His game lacked dynamism. There was no acceleration/penetration/threat.
Villa looked comfy. If you compare him to Tilemans the diff in ability is big.
