I agree he could do much better with that final ball or shot, but that's not really his main objective, we've plenty of others for that.

His main role is to break up play, track back, and drive us forward in possession. He also makes more off the ball runs than any of our other players.

People will laugh at his shot tonight, and his iffy cross late on, but in truth he got through a huge amount of work. He's a fucking machine.

It's no coincidence we've improved as a team since he came into the midfield, starting consistently.

Yes it would be great if he could compose himself more often when he's in those moments, but his main objective is to grab the the game by the bollox for us, and to let the Eriksen's and Dele's run the show.

And he's doing that superbly.

He's not in the team for end product, he's in the team to ensure we win the midfield battle, and to transition us up the pitch effectively.

Such a shame the composure was not there for that shot. If it was he would of realised he could of dribbled it through open space and had a far easier opportunity to score.

Apart from giving away a dangerous free-kick I thought he had another really good game last night.

He shits himself 80% of the time in the final third still, but I'd take 2018-19 Sissoko with no end product over 2017-18 bambi on ice Sissoko all day long.

I think that is why we are all pleased...because its such a vast improvement.

Good for him. Even when we eventually get a CM replacement in here he'll still play a vital role with his ability to play roughly 873 different positions.

Staggering turnaround in performance. Can’t remember anything like it! He’s been so good that even his obligatory running/passing off the pitch or missing a sitter actually raises a smile!

This is the Euro 2016 version of Sissoko.

Just so he’s not out of practice over the Christmas period, I’ve personally ordered him a giant turkey for him to steam through.
