He is a great squad player for us - seems very well liked behind the scenes also. Probably not quite good enough to be a regular starter once we get everybody fit and in the team but I love the guy.

IMO he's a great impact player off the bench. Would scare the shit out of most teams to have him running at tired defenders and generally putting himself about.

The current Sissoko is so underrated!

He is becoming like Michael Dawson to me - not the best we would like as we always thought there will be some one better, but they can very much be counted on when called upon! Honest and always gave their best when played and contributed positively. I will always be grateful to such players for as long as they can play for us.

Sissoko is a player unlike anyone else. He is the 11th man, the 12th man...he is all over the field. And the fact is he is getting better. Where that ends up I dont know but I wouldnt get rid of Sissoko.

For me he is still only a squad player who should come on for the last 20 minutes to run at tired legs.
He puts in an effort and this is rewarded with a long term contract but I think it just does not work often enough when he is one of the midfield two because of his technial issues.

Dawson was fucking brilliant though.

Good squad player, but really in truly he shouldn't be playing as much as he has been, he doesn't meet the requirements to play a key CM role for Spurs. Lets hope we get a proper DM in Summer/January to play alongside Ndombele.
For me, it is periods like this when he is at his most useful. Our main players aren't fit and the manager is looking to get the right fit for midfield. Sissoko has shown he is a better partner to Dier than Winks. His engine is useful and gives Ndombele and Lo Celso time to settle in.

The thing I dislike intensely about Sissoko is his hiding from the ball. Instead of finding space and giving the ballplayer an option, he's pointing elsewhere (generally backwards). I have never seen any other player, ever, so afraid of the ball. It is literally like playing with only 10 men in possession.

However, against Burnley I saw definite signs of improvement. Whether that's confidence from scoring an actual goal, or from Jose, he actually showed encouraging signs of being a footballer. I'll add that his last 4 shots have actually been on target (I'm giving him the post here). That is a massive improvement on his previous Keystone cop ability in front of goal.

Absolutely horrific tonight alongside dier, didn’t protect the back 4 at all

Did you not see the part where he had to cover for KWP for most of the game? He was pulled out of position countless times, doesn't mean he had a horrific match.

He generally provides good cover for the CB's when he isn't covering the RB position, he may not be the best DM in the world but hes more than useful in the middle of the park.

KWP was left 2 on 1 for most of the game.

Sissoko and Winks both wonder around far too much to be top cm imo. Dier needs to be improved on (could be Skipp) but he gives us a better shape/balance in cm than either of the other 2.

I would say there isn't a player that creates more polarization than Moussa Sissoko. Im a fan. When you take in all his talents and weaknesses the way some people talk its he is the worst player who ever put on a Tottenham shirt. He isnt Jimmy Greaves or Ndombele or Mackay or Glen Hoddle,I agree but nobody runs more and supports the attack and defence as much as Sissoko does.
When Dembele left it was Sissoko who pushed us forward with great runs into the box area (even though he had a problem at that point) and since then his football it)elf has got better. He passing is much more accurate (Who Scored rated him as our second best passer this week I think with 90% completed) and Sky gave him top marks this week for our team in the brutal defeat.
The man gets knocked down and gets up like nothing happened. He even at times shows a little trickery with his footwork. Nobody has bee more commited under both managers.
People complained about him being a shit player that cost us 30 mil and I always would say well he didnt buy himself. I think the 30 mil was cheap. His strength and stamina is like having two players not one on the field.
I thank Sissoko for all his hard work,if the others played half to the intensity that Sissoko does we would be far ahead

Love the guy, was my player of the season last year, without him we’d be in an even bigger mess, if Ndombele can stay fit for more than a week think they’ll work great together.

I love Ndombele. He is a fantastic player. Hopefully Sissoko can keep his spot. Dier doesn't seem to be the player that Mourinho thought he was (maybe he will get sharper) and Winks hasn't shown that he can be an effective DM and as a CM not really tried enough to know. I don't think Sissoko is the answer.I just think he is a tough player to have around whether its off the bench or in tough physical games. My point is he doesn't get enough respect.
