Sissoko and Winks should never ever start any game or be on the same pitch at the same time in the same team as the double pivots, as soon as I saw the team at 6:30 I had serious fears we would make a crap Utd look amazing.

Always feel like Sissoko is in midfield for muscle but not in a defensive midfielder way. As he cannot hold onto the ball well but can carry the ball out he is only really useful in a 3.
Sissoko and Winks has never worked at all so was disappointed to see them start tonight.

Mourinho found a good role for Sissoko his first games. Sub for 15 minutes to see a game out and make some powerful runs on the right.
His skill set is faaaaar too limited to play in CM. He is not a great tackler, not a good offensive threat and his passing is laughable at this level.

Such a idiotic decision to give him a new contract, I don’t even think Poch wanted us to give him a new contract. I said it before IMO we should’ve sold him in the summer when his price was at the highest
He’s not good at anything. People think he’s a good ball winner but he rarely wins the ball, people think he recovers well but he recovers from his own mistakes. Technically you would think he played for a France Sunday league team, awful technically
He’s just very liked in the dressing room but if we want to be the best club in the world we need to be ruthless and sell him. He’s getting older and his physicality will go down
Midfield is arguably the most important position in football and it’s not a coincidence that when both Dembele & Wanyama was finished so was we. Our back line gets no protection and our attacking midfielders have to drop deep to help and because of that Kane doesn’t get served with chances so Kane starts to drop down to get the ball and then no one is upfront
We need to play Ndombele and Lo Celso much more and buy new midfielders

Why are you getting Aurier into this? He hasn't been making any ugly mistakes since Mourinho took over.
That discussion can head to the Aurier thread. However, on two occasions he completely failed to track his man, simply terrible defender.
The main reason Sissoko doesn't work in a two, in bigger games, is Aurier. He's constantly having to babysit for him defensively, causing a gaping hole in the middle of the park.
It was harsh but it deserved to be a penalty for the sheer stupidity of his challenge.
