Still breaks my heart that he tried to take the blame for the Liverpool defeat. Hero.

It was really touching. It echoes what was reported in the Evening Standard a few months back. Both Poch and Lloris spoke about how he's such a positive force in the squad.

Can't remember if we had any "Ohhhhhh, Moussa Sissoko"s last night, but would be great to have some against Oodersfield.

I'm hunting down anyone who doesn't vote Mossa.
Why? As much as he's improved, and as important as he's been, Son's been better and more important. Jan, Toby, and Winks could all make a case to be better as well.

Anyway, great performance from the big man this week. Love the line from F365 about him yapping at the heels of City's artisans. Great summary of his game. He was always in their face, and didn't them a moment's respite. Need the same at the Etihad.

Mentioned this is the City game thread.. what impresses me about this new and improved Sissoko is that he now has the confidence to receive the ball off from the defenders and use his power/pace to get past 1st layer of opponent press.. a bit lit like, dare i say it, Dembele, but with less guile and more power.

He's slowly emerging as one of my fave players..

It’s pretty amazing how he shrugs of challenges like The Hulk swatting flies. And when he decides to take the ball and run into space, there’s just no stopping him.

One thing I love to watch is his ability put himself between he man and the ball, particularly when defending. He almost doesn’t need to put in a tackle - he simply gets a small part of his body between man and ball and he’s already won the battle. It’s really incredible, and he’s become a real joy to watch. What a beast.

The real story behind his signing will be fun to find out one day.

Whoever recommended we sign him be it Pochettino, Levy or someone else deserves an awful lot of credit, that 30m in 5 6m payments has potentially saved our season.

A genuinely brilliant bit of business, with confidence hopefully the final two years of that deal will see him improve even more.

Funny, the exact opposite was being said not so long ago lol

I absolutely love Sissoko. He has become my favourite player due to his attitude. There's nothing like watching someone see danger, sprint their hardest to get there and then to slide in and crunch a player like Kovacic or Sterling. Then, when he gets the ball, right next to a player he turns and runs round them leaving them behind while running with the ball. Also, his positional play is exceptional. So often in the right place at the right times, making the right decisions. Great midfielder!

That tackle on Sterling was proper heart attack inducing challenge from my perspective but what a challenge... on point and perfectly timed.

Legend. Would love he scored a winning goal in a big game or any game at this stage, everyone would lose there shit:D

On a side note I wouldn't fancy coming up against him & wanyama in a midfield two, like we saw the other night! Two absolute tanks

I remember watching him in Euro 2016 and thinking how damn good he was. Then when we signed him I was bit...meh, thought he would do a good job but not what we needed at the time. Fast forward through some tough moments watching him....and suddenly he is probably the first name on the team sheet. The pace, power and agility he shows is ridiculous. The bloke is a machine. Imagine if we got Dembele and Sissoko as a midfield pairing, teams would've probably ran away with fear.

I just hope we can bring in another world class CM to work alongside him next season, we severely lack depth in this area and he has ran his socks off this season, same for Winksy. We need someone else to help especially if we continue to get good runs in the cups.

I still can't believe the turnaround in this guy. The quality and consistency he has shown has been on a par with any of our midfielders over the last few years (thinking Dembele and Wanyama in 16/17 type levels). Dread to think where we would be without him this year.

Unless Sonny bags a hatfull over the last few games and drags us over the line, i genuinely think it'll be a travesty if he doesn't win POTY.
