Or post a video of him getting robbed by Pogba in the fa cup semi final last year?

Rose-tinted glasses being used here. He left because he couldn't deal with the physicality anymore. I agree it would have been handy to have him still, but we clearly agreed to sell him in the summer so have to deal with it.

We've seen him go past actual good footballers like they weren't there, a video of him skinning a load of Chinese lads doesn't say an awful lot.

We all agreed we needed to sell him and buy a replacement. Spurs just happened to forget the second part.

Recoba was good... Great left foot, I think it was his left..

Can't believe to this day Mendieta went to Boro.

What a great player he was and like some others here I thought he was one of the most delightful players to watch.

Yep, lethal lefty. Scored some outrageous goals for Inter.

Some filthy goals, thanks. Not necessarily a great scorer of goals, but a scorer of great goals. Ridiculous first touch and he could hit one from 25-30 yards.

Uruguay have had some disgusting forwards over the years but you’d have to put him in a best XI.

Just watching some of the stuff from the 15-16 and 16-17 seasons. What I’d give to have that Dembele still with us he was absolutely immense.

I'd love us to have a young, fit and healthy Jimmy Greaves back, but like Dembele, I'm afraid both their ships have long since sailed, but we still have the glorious memories.

I genuinely believe that if we had MD in the final last year then things could have been oh so different.
A fully fit Dembele, certainly. The pale imitation we saw for the first half of last season, definitely not. He was sadly passed it, and that was something we could see coming a long time in advance. The dissappointment isn't that the inevitable happened, it's that we didn't really sign someone to try and replace him until six months after he'd gone and said replacement hasn't worked out yet.

We were after Ndombele the summer he signed permanently for Lyon but couldn't get him then. Rather than make do with an alternative we chose to wait. Frenkie de Jong is also on record saying he turned us down that summer and was, according to ITK at least, one of Poch's "chosen ones" for whom no alternative could be accepted.

So we were trying to replace him before he went but chose to gamble on waiting for the "right" replacement(s).

Yeah that makes sense, but it's still a disappointment (even if it's not anyone's fault!) that we didn't have a replacement. And Poch's reported attitude to transfers was just totally unrealistic - no club in the world identifies just one target and gets them, let alone Tottenham.

been going since 94 and seen some very good players (and dross), klinsmann, sheringham, campbell, king, ginola, berbatov, modric, bale, VDV, eriksen, kane etc, but dembele is by far my favourite. made everything look so easy (when fit), as though he was an overage player in a kids game. powerful and graceful - what a player!
