Do we play a similar way to Gangwan?

I mean. is there a gangwan style??

Celebrity gif. Morgan Freeman sits amongst a crowd at an award show. He looks up at the stage with admiration and a wide smile spread across his face. He gives big, strong claps to signify how proud he is.

Highlights clip for anyone interested:

Looks amazing, when you see these videos I always look for the final ball and finishing. This kid has both. That's without even talking about his dribbling. At 17, he's mightily impressive.

The only question would how would he adapt to the physical side of the PL. We should be all over this.

I know very little tbh. I’ve seen him mentioned and hyped up on a few Korean focused football accounts over the last few months, I know he’s highly rated and won young player of the month a while back but aside from some flashy clips I can’t really say much more then that. He’s right footed, seems to have good close ball control + technique and can play on ether wing although primarily a left wing. Not very helpful im afraid.

wonder if he's related to the south korean winger at celtic hyun-jun yang. Both started there careers at the same k-league side.

Is he 17 until he is 19?! 😂

Would be Yangy in that case.
Son and Yang are the clan name, Heung-min is Sonny's given name.
Family name comes first, given name traditionally two with a - between them when written with western letters
Pretty sure
Son is the family name
Min is the family name
unless it's round the wrong way in the thread title.

It's supposed to be Yang Min-hyuk. You'll often see Son's name as Heung-min Son as well, as we westerners are so used to putting the family name at the end. The - is often telling, as it tend to bind up the two given names.

What an opportunity for the lad if true, a massive transfer and the chance to play and learn alongside Sonny. Couldn't wish for a better mentor and instantly helps him settle in.

This makes a lot of sense. Keeping the Korean fan base on side for years to come likely part of the thought process.

Interesting. One for the future if it does happen. I say this as someone who inexplicably fell into a minor love affair with J League football a few years back that the J League and K League (although not seen as much of it) are both verging on criminally bad at times when it comes to defending - and goalkeeping more specifically - so it's not so easy to gauge how an attacking player might adapt. That said, it's not a case that the attacking players are therefore limited. J League has a lot of young talent trying to push on, good technically and far more dribblers than Europe seems to produce these days, and no doubt K League is similar.

No doubt a loan out to see if he develops if we do sign him. He might look shit hot in K League but it tells us little tbh. Less than we could infer from even Bergvall in the Swedish league.

I was in Korea last year and went to a game. The level is much worse than the Dutch Eredivisie and players from Eredivisie already struggle a lot in adapting.

Yep. It would have to be a hit and hope with a loan or two to see if he can step up. There's no way of knowing for sure. At £5M being the mooted price, a few clubs might be willing to take a punt.
