I'm not saying he will have the career Glenn did, or he'll be the player he was, but at the same age I think Mikey is better.
He is certainly a lot more mobile than Glenn . in his younger days Glenn never had the stamina to last 90 mins. Mind you , Glenn wouLdhave been some no. 10 in today’s football. He has always said it was Wenger who played him in his best position but I would have thought it was Pleaty who played him just off Clive Allen.
Mikey is certainly a powerful lad and will be able to cope in the premier league . Great that we’ve produced such a player. Let’s hope some of the others come through as well.

Was he subbed today due to tactics (I assume), tiredness or injury? Can understand the first two, just hope he didn't pick up a knock as he really deserves a run of games

Assume Ange is just managing his minutes after playing the full 90 on Thursday

Assume he was subbed because he wasn't really at it. He's 17 so he's going to be inconsistent and this seemed like one of those days. They'll happen over the next few years but hopefully will happen less and less as time goes on. Reckon hes on bench for Thursday but good chance of coming on likely at LW so up against a good RB in Bradley.

I thought he did ok today, on another day wins a pen. More likely he played 90 ons Thursday and we were a goal up so adding more size in the middle to control the game. Think it was Bergval coming on and adjusting the tactics.

A mix, I think. Wasnt losing battles, but bringing Bergvall on allowed us to move Kulu higher to help with counters. Then considering age and the 90 midweek, made sense to take home off

Probably just managing his minutes. I don't think he had a great day, but he was out of position.

He’s getting better and better it’s genuinely frightening. For a 17 year old to take ahold of the game and combine the way he does is scary.

Opposition players are starting to recognise how good he is, backing off him to buy space but he will absolutely attack them happy to go inside or outside. He’s breaking through when we’ve needed him to and I just can’t wait to see how far he could go.

Does anyone know/remember if Mikey has had premier league minutes on the left yet?

I have to say, if you’re Mikey Moore I think it’s only human to be feeling some type of way about N’Waneri, a guy who’s the same age as you but less talented, getting so many minutes this season and therefore being able to build momentum and make an impact for a team that has nowhere near been as ravaged by injury as us this season AND is challenging higher up in the table - not surprised at the frustrations @Danny1 has hinted to in the Ange thread:

I know for a fact that he is deeply disappointed to see Werner getting in infront of him, which all of us here would agree to.

He doesn't expect to be starting but does expect to see minutes between now & the end of the season.

No he definitely doesn't want to leave. However if he is just floating around the reserves and not getting into squads then that may change.

think you are underrating nwaneri, he's a massive talent. arsenal haven't had the same level of injuries as we have but they've had them all in one area which has led to him getting more chances, earlier in the season he was only getting minutes here and there. mikey has played more than most thought he would, it's just a bit frustrating that a lot of the time it's from the right where he's not as comfortable.

Nwaneri is considered behind Moore in the England set up. But can't overlook that he has physical advantage that make him take to senior football easier.
