Has to be ahead of Werner now he's back. He won't always perform but neither does Werner. He at least has more to offer though and he'll only benefit from the game time.

He got better in the second half, possibly when they were staring to tire a bit.

Hopefully he can get a run of games now that he's back - particularly in the Europa and next round of the FA Cup.

Love having him back. Give him a few games and he should be a certain starter at lw. So good on the ball.
I hope youre right.
Having someone LW who plays the overlapper really could bring more from Solanke, and Johnson

Beating 2 defenders then the outside of the right foot cross….put it on a plate for Werner.

Ineffective in the first half but much much better in the second. Looking forward to seeing him play much more often.

What he did yesterday was run at and take on defenders which is exactly what you want against national league defenders who will eventually let you by or give away the penalty, it's a shame he had to be substituted but understandable in the circumstances.
To be honest it just served to emphasise that's what we're lacking.

Looks like in the first half the full back was glued to him and he had to either bounce the incoming pass straight back or go in field. Second half there was space between him and his man so he was able to turn and run at them.

One of the only tiny positive from yesterdays performance was Moore for 20 minutes in the second half (along with Bervall continuing to look bright)

Understandably slow start yesterday after a long time out but as Ange said he grew into the game. He is one of the very few players we have in the squad who is prepared to and capable of beating his man. I'm hoping this season will be a really valuable one for the kid and I'm happy with how he is being integrated into the squad.

It'll be Son starting against Arsenal, but I'm hoping Moore is fit enough to start against Everton. They already have a decent defence in the league, and Moyes will naturally try and build from that so they're going to be virtually impossible to break down. I'd have all three of Moore, Maddison and Deki on the pitch against them.

I can't see him starting Moore in the league this season to be honest. He will no doubt get plenty of minutes from the bench and hopefully some starts in Europe though.

I don't see why not if he's started him already in the league and our other alternatives to Son aren't any better.
He might get a start if Son gets injured or something but I think it's much more likely he will be seen as a regular option from the bench rather than as a starter this season. I could be wrong of course but I think they are trying to be careful with him.

I'm of a similar mind, I think they'll try to look after him and limit his minutes and they'll mostly come as a sub against tired players.

If Son were to get injured, I reckon Richy would start out left if he's fit and Solanke doesn't need a rest.

I say start him at Everton . Put son on the bench . One lucky deflected goal yesterday, don’t warrant him keeping his place . He offers very little during games now . Sad but true unfortunately.

I think Mikey could give 54 year old Ashley young a few problems

Need him out on the left wing consistently. Now.
Yep, I hate the thought of throwing a 17 year old in and having to rely on him but our other options are so bad, we don't really have a choice.
He's the only winger we've got who can keep and use the ball.
